On this April 20, 2020, I want to acknowledge a special #cannabishero who continues to fight for an equitable model that truly includes everybody in the cannabis industry. Reena Rampersad is a force to be reckon with in as she continues to advocate for the expungement of cannabis related crimes as well as the inclusion of the BIPOC community into the industry. She is an active leader in the community and is always mentioning the health and positive benefits to the herb to t...hose struggling with their health or looking for an alternative. Her positivity and determination is what keeps her going and despite sour times, she always find a way to make you smile. Sadly, society continues to inundate us with pictures of "white people" as leaders, yet most of them have never felt the effects of a "struggle," which is why Reena is so effective in reaching out and engaging her community as they see her honesty, passion, knowledge and love and they want to follow.
