I can't believe that more people aren't talking about this or questioning the ethics of this policy by some municipalities.... * An Officiant spoke to the Peel Region Health Services who confirmed they will allow over five (10 people) for weddings in PHYSICAL religious institutions only, such as churches, mosques, funeral homes, ect. * Any ceremony not in this type of location, has a maximum of five (5) people allowed in attendence - the couple being married, two witnesses, a...nd the officiant. * For 2 reasons. * This lockdown may go on for months...Most PHYSICAL religious institutions are not open to interfaith unions, same-sex marriage, agnostic/spiritual/atheist weddings, where couples are dealing with emergency issues such as...health, expiring work visas, immigration, job relocation out of the country, adoption proceedings, pension/financial/ property management, etc. * To deny two (or more) sets of parents, children, guardians/sponsors, siblings, etc who don't meet a "institutions" policy is heartbreaking. * Officiants outside of a PHYSICAL institute, can ensure protocol as well as those indoors.
