Today is #BellLetsTalk day. We often don’t realize how much mental health can effect even our little ones. Here are 3 ways to help children work through their emotions. ... 1. Help children understand why it’s important to talk about our emotions by using the ‘emotional volcano’ analogy. An emotional volcano is what can happen if we hold all our emotions in and one day they just irrupt! Don’t hold your emotions in, talk about them because the adults in your lives want to help and support you! 2. Teach by leading an example and be mindful of our own emotional habits, children are always watching! 3. Be aware of the language you use when addressing children’s emotions. For example, instead of saying ‘Calm down, don’t be frustrated’, you can say ‘your face looks upset, what’s going on? Talk to me about it.’ There are so many ways we can address children’s emotions and mental health in a loving, kind and caring way that shows them we are always here to talk. Remembrance Day It is so important to teach the children about those who have given up so much so that we can be free and live in safety & peace. Thank you.

We’ve put out a call for families who could use a bit of extra help this year and we’ve received a HUGE response - over 65 families in less than 48 hours. This is more than we imagined we’d get and frankly, more than we can do alone. Before having to decide which families we get to help this year, we’d love to put the call out there for donations from those of you who can! If you would like to donate any of the following, please reach out to us and we can arrange pick up, or ...drop off! Non-perishable food items (pasta, cereal, canned veggies, sauces, fruit snacks, granola bars, instant potatoes, stuffing, puddings, etc.) Frozen turkey, ham, chicken (think Christmas Dinners) New or Gently used children’s clothing New or Gently used children’s toys New or Gently used Family games Toiletries Diapers & Wipes/ baby products Teenager gifts (gaming gift cards, make up, art supplies, etc.) Gift cards for US to purchase items from groceries stores Monetary donations Wrapping paper, gift bags, gift tags, tissue paper, etc.

It’s this pretty lady’s birthday today! Pat’s the one that keeps a lot of this place going with all she does and we are forever grateful to her! It’s The Nanny Company’s FIFTH birthday today! It’s no secret that 2020 has been a year full of unpredictable situations, but we are so incredibly thankful and blessed to have still been able to grow during this season. We’ve faced so many new challenges during year 5 but it has only made us grow and improve as a company in so many ways! We had so much fun at Deer Meadow Farms this morning with a few of our Nannies and their littles We got to pet all the animals, go on a tractor ride to see the deer, play at the playground, have a picnic together, and run through the corn maze! It was a perfect, chilly, fall morning

So much fun at our Nanny Play Date at the Nature Playground! If you’re in Winnipeg and you haven’t been there yet, you need to! We’ve said it before but I’ll say it again. Watching our Nannies with their babes is THE SWEETEST thing to see. Hearing their conversations and giggles gets me every time.
