The discussion I had with this young designer inspires me. Eva is one of The Little Chicks and she delivered colorful handmade magnets to the store. Much thought went into the design of each piece and they are made with love Perfect for stocking stuffers and what's way cool is a percentage of sales goes to the local SPCA. . #youngentrepeneurs #handmadeinalberta ... #magnets #shoplocal See more

A big shout out to the staff at our local @canadapost Many of the vendors and makers we deal with ship thru the mail. The post office is so very busy but regardless they greet you with a smile and are always so accommodating. The Christmas season is about family. This season many of us won't be with our families but we can still make memories in unique and safe ways. I myself have many fond memories of Christmas celebrations from when I was much younger. My Dad was a dairy farmer and cows had to be milked twice a day regardless of it being a holiday or not. Christmas Eve is when we would gather to open our presents because Christmas morning cows had to be milked and then it was time to go to our ...rural church. Dad would milk the cows extra early on Christmas eve. Us 6 kids would be eagerly waiting in our pajamas for Dad so that we could start opening presents. Oh the patience our Mom had dealing with 6 extra energetic kids. We never had a lot of presents but thinking back now it felt like we were given the world. A world of amazing memories and so much kindness and love from our parents. Yes this Christmas will be very different. Make new memories and treasure the ones you have. This arrangement was inspired by my Dad. A barn, wheat and greenery all arranged in a festive gravy boat. My Dad loves his gravy . . #familychristmas #countrychritmas #dairyfarmersdaughter #albertachristmas See more
