Today is International #OutdoorClassroomDay ! Over the last few months, our faculty and students have been embracing the outdoor classroom, regularly venturing outdoors to learn and explore. Time outdoors creates happier and healthier children, as well as helping form an appreciation for the natural world. Children with an appreciation for their environment will take action to protect it. Encourage your children to take play outdoors at home too! What does your family do to t...ake play outside? #TOS #TheOxfordSchool #DiscoverTOS #TOSCommunity #ALoveOfLearning #ShareTheLoveOfLearning #ForTheLoveOfLearning #LifeLongLearning #QualityEducation #AcademicExcellence #SocialProgress #StudentCentred #Academic #Academics #OxfordCounty #Woodstock #WoodstockOntario #Ontario #DirtIsGood #OutdoorClassroom #LearnOutdoors #PlayOutdoors #LoveTheOutdoors #ForestSchool

Some teachers would make the argument that the apostrophe should be possessive plural and not singular, since there are so many wonderful teachers out there to celebrate, just as we did the last couple of weeks with our own faculty at the Oxford School. So next time you see or think of a teacher, send them a note or give them a "socially distanced" hug (that's what teachers call an oxymoron...)

During our recent Terry Fox Run, TOS students were asked to #tryliketerry and they did not disappoint! They ran an unbelievable 1345 laps during their run and raised an outstanding $1700 towards cancer research. We are so proud of our students and so grateful for all the contributions made. Thank you to everyone who supported the Terry Fox Run at TOS. @terryfoxfoundation #TOS #TheOxfordSchool #DiscoverTOS #TOSCommunity #ALoveOfLearning #ShareTheLoveOfLearning #ForTheLoveOfLearning #LifeLongLearning #QualityEducation #AcademicExcellence #SocialProgress #StudentCentred #Academic #Academics #OxfordCounty #Woodstock #WoodstockOntario #Ontario #TryLikeTerry #TerryFoxSchoolRun #TerryFox #MarathonOfHope

Rebecca Moss worked countless hours over the last several months, all of them after a full day of work during the summer, and more recently after teaching her classes. This sort of energy and commitment, I’ve quickly come to learn, is characteristic of Rebecca. As your Head of School I am proud to count you as a colleague, and know that everyone connected with the Oxford School thanks you for leading our first annual golf tournament. We look forward to sharing highlights of the day and the proceeds towards our STEM program as they become available.
