Having your Reisling blackballed by the #vqa @winecountryont for lacking typicity is a proud badge of honor at @pearlmorissette & one that’s celebrated annua...lly. This year’s dinner was outdoors, in the fields, under a tent & gem studded. . A tank of 2010 Cuvée Dix-Neuvième chard grew a spontaneous layer of flor & was left alone for ten years to turn sherry-like, becoming one of those sweet children of ours that happened on their own & that we love, according to PM poet-laureate Svetlana Atcheva. We drank it & loved it too. . . From chefs @danieldoesit @_eric.robertson_ a string of beautiful dishes: eggplants from the garden w fig-leaf oil, blackberries & goat cheese sauce; cellared ham & dried nectarines, summer squash gougère, pastured chicken w change any carrots & sweetgrass ice cream. . Our garden team has been working incredibly hard all year to provide delicious tastes, sustenance, and beauty. Starting this weekend we will have a market stand onsite from 12-6 Saturday and Sunday.
