The spotlight has been placed on small business owners, but we’re all impacted. On December 26th the province will shutdown again. Yes, small business will shut down, and so will big companies. People won’t have work to go to and kids won’t go back to school when planned. The reality of this situation is the impact is big on everyone, and affects everyone differently. Some won’t know how to survive, some won’t be impacted at all. Every single person has something different to... deal with- physically, mentally, and financially. For me, yes, my small business is impacted, but I saw this coming. I expected another shutdown long before now, and mentally prepared myself for that, which likely helps. I’ve taken time to reflect and plan for 2021 regardless of a shutdown. I’ve cried, and done a happy dance all in the same hour. Yes, this is hard, but the hard stuff forced us to grow, change, and pivot in 2020, and we can do it again. So, today, I will be grateful for my amazing team @rightfit_therapy and Right Fit, for my family and friends who support every move I make, and to our amazing clients for sticking with us throughout this crazy year. I changed my why. I used to run to watch those calories rack up (very slowly) on the left hand side of the treadmill. I used to run because I ate something I felt was bad and thought I could run it off.... I used to run with all the wrong ideas in my head, and because I felt I had to. Now I run because its good for my head. Its good for me to get outside, even if its in my garage on a treadmill. I run because Im enjoying it, but Im also listen to my body and slow down when I need too, adding in extra strength training to avoid pain and injury. I used to think about movement differently. For years, movement and weight loss were tied together. If I moved more, I would lose more weight.
