In light of Dr Henry's temporary, new public health orders, the Roundhouse is cancelling the following classes today and tomorrow. The following programs are cancelled: Today, Sunday: Vinyasa Yoga for Energy, Sportball Multisport Parent and tot, Sportball Preschool, Sportball Children. ... Monday: Racquet Sports, Gentle Yoga, Baby Sign Language, Raincity Basketball Skills, Karate Fun, Karate Junior, Karate Senior, Joint Mobility, Badminton, Volleyball Skills, Ultimate Conditioning and Core Training Programmers will have called and talked to all participants or left a voice message to inform them of the cancellations. On Monday, we will be assessing the rest of the programs and will call any participants affected. It's been a busy day at the Roundhouse today - lots of spring cleaning! - and it's the penultimate session for spring break day camp. If you're looking for a few ideas to keep your middle schooler mentally active, how about one or two of these options?

Although the Roundhouse is closed to the public, staff are still working in the facility. It's important to maintain our health and so Diana, our Older Adults programmer and yoga instructor (far left), is leading her Wednesday afternoon Functional Fitness class. Lots of physical distance and wiping down of all equipment!

If you don't already follow the Smithsonian via their newsletter or RSS feed, have we got a treat for you. They've got some excellent digital resources. Here's a curated list of tours/exhibits you can take from the comfort of your 'going to get real familiar with this' spot on the sofa.

In the coming days, the Roundhouse will be posting information related to staying healthy in these trying times of isolation. As a cultural centre, the Roundhouse is associated with many arts and culture workers. The cancellation of so many arts and culture events means that many of these people are facing difficult economic times ahead. Here is one good Canadian's list of useful sites.
