They provide crisis services for physically, emotionally, financially and sexually abused women and their dependent children and is dedicated to ending violence against women and their children . With the added mental, emotional, and financial stress of COVID-19 and the quarantine, Halton Women’s Place has increased demand from women and children in our region who desperately need their support, however, their corporate support has decreased during this time. Many of the items listed are for children, imagine needing to leave your situation so badly that you have to flee with your kids and can’t even supply them with a few changes of clothes for the coming days . Great donations include NWT summer clothing or shoes and entertainment items for children or women’s clothing! If you prefer to give a monetary donation - we can get bulk discounts for some of the high demand items as well through some awesome local shops like Connie Ward of The Royal Academy of Arts & Education and @shari white of G-Force Junior Lizzie Leckie has already managed to secure a significant contribution from IG Wealth Management that will get us A LOT of desperately needed consumable items as well! New Office Progress Announcement! When we purchased this amazing local landmark Derek and I were so excited to have the opportunity to return it to being an amazing place for community gathering. We took this responsibility very seriously and after many, many, conversations with food service providers who were interested in the main floor space we finally found Kit's little Kitchen. We have tested out Kit’s product extensively, it’s consistently amazing. We have also come to... adore her and her family, and we know you will too. We couldn’t be more thrilled to (finally) announce that Kit’s little Kitchen will be coming to The Glen! A little farther to the right is a face many of my client know and already love. Lizzie Leckie of IG Wealth Management and I are officially going to be able to be seen in one office! This will be such a great opportunity for our joint clients and Liz will be a tremendous addition to the Glen Williams community as she is both professionally amazing and incredibly community involved. Now that renovations are well underway we are excited to finally behind seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Stay tuned for updates and announcements for our big opening day/office warming party!

We are so excited to be partnering with two of our favourite business owners, Liz Leckie -Investors Group and The Lunch Lady to be hosting this year’s Canada Day in the Glen Breakfast! We are running this event to help support the local community and will be donating all net proceeds from the breakfast to the Glen Williams Public School! Come out early for a great meal and to help support an amazing local school! To help accommodate the rush the first shuttle bus from the R...eal Canadian Superstore will start at 8:00 am so you can park easily and make it out in time for breakfast and fun family activities on the main baseball diamond! Hope to see everyone there!

Getting involved with the town!

PROGRESS! Well team the applications are in, now we wait for permits but the new office is (hopefully) finally in process!

Last weekend was so much fun thanks to a fabulous event put on by Credit Valley Conservation! Our new office (in the works) is part of the land protected by the CVC and I had the fortune to have met some of their staff through Liz Leckie -Investors Group so we teamed up to sponsor where we work! Not only did I have the pleasure of sponsoring the event but I also got to spend my first ever curling experience with some of the most supportive business owners around. A big thank ...you to Christine and Kelly from Monckton Real Estate Group- Keller Williams Real Estate Associates, Jonathan and Bibit Monkman from Beechwood Chiropractic & Wellness Centre and of course the amazing Liz Leckie -Investors Group for coming out, having a great time, and not teasing me too much for my complete lack of experience! Looking forward to doing it again next year!

Tax season is in full effect already! This past Monday I attended another full day seminar on tax new consequences from the recent changes to the tax regulations The seminar was amazing. There are so many things that may change how some individuals and corporations have been doing things in dramatic ways. ... If you haven’t already started it’s time to get in touch with your accountant and financial planner to make sure there are no big surprises in 2019!
