The Screening Room 25.01.2021

We turned on the marquee lights for a few minutes this evening so we could snap this photo! Looking forward to playing movies again when the lockdown ends... possibly on Sunday January 24. We're using the time to clean our carpets, apply for government grants, and catch up on the best films of 2020.

Looking for something to watch during lockdown? We've rounded up a bunch of "Favourite Films of 2020" recommendations from movielovers in Kingston, and received a wide range of responses... though you'll see certain titles (First Cow, Martin Eden, Black Bear) come up again and again! View the Favourite 2020 Movies List-of-Lists in today's installment of our weekly email newsletter: https://mailchi.mp/screeningroomkingston./this-week-1324037

WHAT ARE YOUR FAVOURITE FILMS OF 2020? We're compiling a list of "Top Movies of 2020" for our well-read weekly email newsletter (on December 31) and want to share what everyone liked best. Any list is good! Ordered or unordered, a top 10 or just 2-3 titles, with commentary or without. Post in the comments.... YOUR MOVIE RECOMMENDATIONS MATTER! The whole culture of moviewatching became very fragmented in 2020 with few major releases, but there were still *so many* good films that came out this year, if you know where to look. If you saw something great, your recommendation might be super helpful for those bored during lockdown looking for some quality entertainment.
