I originally started using the "shitty service" slogan on our merch to remind my crew to never give shitty service. Most of them were not too happy when they first saw it but that told me that they have pride in what they do. Sometimes I play Jedi mind tricks with my crew to figure out how they really feel about our company and their place in it. Some of them will be reading this and will mutter to themselves "fucker". . We've dealt with a few #karens this year and so this... slogan is now for them too. From complaining about our return policy even though it was explained to them before they made a purchase to criticising how we should be donating to charities. We've never tried to please everyone so this is for all you Karens out there. We're good at what we do and we are very proud of what we do. PRINCIPLES OVER PRINCIPALS ever here. 2020 is almost over. My FB memory from the end of 2013 got me reflecting. Check out #7 on the list. . The second picture is the first insta post of our first hat back in April 2016. I started doodling and writing down ideas in 2014 but it wasn't until 2016 when those doodles became actual stuff. That post got zero likes and comments. . The first Seven80 store opened in 2006 in West Ed. I was the creative director back then and had a very small % of the ownership. My vis...ion was always to create a brand that locals would be proud to wear. I tried a couple of tees back then but it didn't sell. The city wasn't ready for it. This was before social media and hastags. Fast forward to 2016 and I was able to acquire control of the shop and was finally able to pursue that vision. . 2020 has been incredibly hard but it has also brought a huge awareness and growth for our brand.
