As we close out 2020 and welcome in 2021 we wanted to THANK all of our clients and friends for your support during a challenging year. I know it’s been a challenging week. Trying to balance work, online learning, entertaining our four-legged family members, all while trying to keep our own mental health in a good place. UPDATE: Hi all. I was just notified and am so happy to report that Waffles is home safe and sound! He was found on Old Yonge and the person who found him took h...im to her dad's, they called SPCA and in turn called the owner. My son's friend was in tears upon his return and obviously ecstatic and relieved. My son Noah, wants to thank you all so much for all you have done. IMy heart is full to know I live in a community full of such caring people and who demonstrate to our younger generation what it means to be part of a community! Thank you all so much again! Precautionary Closure - November 25 - November 30 DOG DAYCARE WILL BE CLOSED IMMEDIATELY THROUGH TO NOVEMBER 30TH. All appointments booked for daycare and training this week (Nov 25-Nov 30) will be cancelled and email sent.... It has been brought to our attention that a few dogs in our daycare have come down with Canine Cough (Kennel Cough). It is a fairly common ailment in dogs that is caused by an airborne virus, which is highly contagious. All dogs accepted into our daycare are vaccinated against Canine Cough (Kennel Cough) with the Bordetella vaccine. We are diligent about this! However, the vaccine is only around 60% effective. It is similar to the flu shot for people each year a vaccine is developed based on which strain(s) are suspected to be most prevalent. Symptoms include: a strong cough, often with a honking sound this is the most obvious symptom runny nose sneezing lethargy loss of appetite low fever Please call or visit your vet if concerned about symptoms your dog may be experiencing. During this closure, we will be doing an EXTRA DEEP CLEAN today. With additional safety measures, only Grooming will remain operational as the likelihood of exposure remains low.
