We love to support other organizations in our community. Here is one of them. If you have children 7-13, and since many summer camps are cancelled, why not have them do something that will stimulate their minds? Something not part of the normal school curriculum?

Dear Friends, I hope you are safe and healthy during the crazy COVID time. I trust that you are working and spending a lot of time at home. Now imagine, if coupled with COVID and the stress of potentially homeschooling your kids and spending copious amounts of time at home that your home just burnt to the ground. Now you, and your family of six (parents, 4 children) have no where to live, escaped with only the clothes on your back, and unfortunately did not have insuran...ce. Oh and your vehicles were also damaged, and all your family pets also perished in the blaze. YES, this tragedy has occurred to the COLBORNE family (please see link in comments to the news article) people I know, and people my girlfriend has been assisting for the last few years. And hence I turn to you If you are able to help it would be so appreciated. There is a GO FUND ME PAGE set up to assist the family any amount will be so welcomed and put to good use. In addition the family is accepting clothing donations I am happy to arrange pick up of whatever you can spare. The SPIRIT Foundation will be matching donations up to $1500 and the funds will go to the Community Response Fund to rapidly deploy essential relief to charities that provide frontline services to people and organizations that are disproportionately impacted by the pandemic and its economic consequences. In addition, the Directors of the Spirit Foundation will personally match up to a further $1500 to be donated to Food Banks in our communities. Will you help us help others? This morning Wayne Mah and Sharon Davis had the pleasure to present Desirée Dupuis from Ruben's Shoes Society with a cheque to help build the Secondary School in the Dominican. This should help with a few doors and desks! A total of $12,000 was raised at the event - Congratulations and thank you to all who attended and gave generously.

About last night... It was a pleasure for the Spirit Foundation to host a fundraiser benefitting Ruben's Shoes Society. Thank you to all who attended, enjoyed and supported this fantastic charity.
