Announcing The Village Choir Adapted 2020 Autumn Season! Join co-Directors Claire Butterfield and Oliver Swain for the second adapted season of The Village Choir. Our Autumn Season includes a mix of in-person and online content featuring original choral arrangements and special guests from across the country. September 22 - December 15... Small, in-person choral rehearsals with rotating twelve person choir "pods" will be held at KWENCH and all content will be streamed and archived, giving folks joining us from home the full choir experience! In addition to this traditional choral content, we are thrilled to announce The Living Room Jam Series. Six times throughout the season, The Village Choir will be celebrating great Canadian singers and songwriters and during these sessions, the original performers will be joining us via Zoom from across the country! Our guests include Ruth Moody (The Wailin' Jennys), Leroy Stagger, The Small Glories, Laura Mitic (Carmanah), Dawn Pemberton and more. Hello everyone! Although our first season didn't quite end the way we anticipated, we have spent the last few months singing online together and it has been delightful. We are opening up our hour-long Tuesday Zoom sessions to anyone who wishes to join us, drop-in style, until our September season starts. We learn a new song each week, with added harmony parts or tips for ornamentation. More info can be found in the event below. If you feel like singing tonight, we will be learning "Unkown Legend" by the great Neil Young. Hope to see you online!
