Happy love day. May your heart be filled with love and light today, no matter whether you are alone or surrounded by humans, single or in relationship. May today be an opportunity to lean into receiving the love that is offered and available to you... be it in a simple ray of sunshine, a quiet moment, or in loving connection. So many of us, especially women, are much more comfortable in the role of giving vs receiving. And while giving is beautiful and so important... so is receiving. And so, my invitation to us on this celebration of love day, is to deepen our ability to let love in... to open and receive... and allow our cups to be filled to the brim. #office #valentines #unicornmagic #counselling #women #transformation #transpersonal #ritesofpassage #lovequotes

I have been reflecting a lot these past weeks on the art of slowing down, being patient, honouring the natural rhythms of my body, her cycles, her alignment with Mother Nature, the moon, and how out of synch with all of this I have lived for so long... how challenging it feels, and how deeply I yearn for more of this embodied alignment... And at the same time I feel this tide of creative energy that just wants to burst out, but there isn’t quite room for her yet to fully flow...... so between these waves I stand and try to find the balance... Once again, a timely and rare last minute window in my work day opens, and as I am nursing the tail end of a persistent flu that has undeniably ‘forced’ me to slow down, I pull this card... perfect. Thank you. #office #women #transitions #slowdown #naturalrhythms #flow #counselling #transpersonal #ritesofpassage See more

Wild women are an unexplainable spark of life. They ooze freedom and seek awareness, they belong to nobody but themselves yet give a piece of who they are to e...veryone they meet. If you have met one, hold on to her, she'll allow you into her chaos but she'll also show you her magic. Nikki Rowe Mr. Fox at Munkholmen Island, Norway, c1900.

Ok. I totally caved and got suckered into one of those Facebook sponsored ads. But c’mon! This one was MADE for me!

Heirlooms and ancestors. These teacups belonged to my paternal Grand-Mother, Alice. I loved her so deeply, and she loved her children and grandchildren so fiercely. And with so much youthful playfulness! My daughter carries her name, but they never got to meet; I was 5 months pregnant when Grammy passed away and I traveled back East for her funeral. The only belonging I requested to keep in her memory were her teacups. Tea was such a part of her daily ritual of connection an...d love! For the longest time, I kept them preciously in my cupboard. Untouched. Not wanting to risk breaking the last heirloom I had of her. And then one day, my daughter asked if she could use one for our tea party. And I suddenly realized: these teacups aren’t meant to gather dust and rest unused! Grammy would be so happy to know we make use of them for play, connection and love. And so since then, we have our ‘real teacups’ tea parties, and every time, I imagine that a part of Grammy gets to join us, play with us, and gets to watch over her namesake. See more

A client cancelled yesterday afternoon, so I stole a very rare and precious moment to finally complete my 2020 vision board. I often find it challenging as a mother, wife and entrepreneur to create space to slow down, get creative and crafty, and play. I have been yearning to create a new Vision Board for a few years now, and somehow was never able to make it happen. Thank you @hollyexpressivearts for your lovely workshop last week that allowed me to prioritize this time. You... held a beautiful space and I am so grateful. I didn’t get to quite finish in the workshop, but committed that I would within the next few days, so when the moment appeared, despite work that called, I chose to create and honour a different kind of energy. And I am so proud - I actually finished it! I love the magic Vision Boards can help manifest. There is something powerful about getting real around what we want to attract in our life. Giving it form and image. Declaring it to the universe. Also, for myself, as a recovering perfectionist, there is something challenging and wonderful about not getting too much into my head about the process and trusting my intuition. The images that call to me because of how they make me feel, instead of being precise representations of what I want to manifest. I can get bogged down for hours looking for the perfect picture, or I can surrender and trust what calls to me. I chose the later this time and it was a refreshing exercise in letting go. Have any of you ever created a Vision Board for yourself and experienced its power and magic?

We always tend to post updates and pics of tidy things... tidy office, tidy hair and makeup, tidy pose... One thing I appreciate so much about the sacred space counselling offers is the invitation and permission to get messy. So many of us women are scared of getting messy (I am a work in progress on that one!). So here is to my end of day messier office, with tea mugs, journals, and crumpled cushions... It’s a testament to my clients who allowed themselves to unclench a bit and explore the magic of messy. Thank you for honouring next with your courage brave warriors. @counselling @transpersonal @office @women @healing @sacredhealingspace @womenintransitions @ritesofpassage

I love the muffled calm that comes with snow, especially at night when it’s fresh and no feet or cars have marred the pristine perfection of its blanket yet. Reminds me of my roots. Peaceful. And so playful! My little white wolf is in her element. Brings the child back to life in humans and animals alike! Enjoy everyone and be safe! #vancity #snow #whiteshepherd #calm

"I'm at this boundary in my practice: Do not come to me Unless you are ready to heal. Do not follow me If you want to stay comfortable in your suffering.... Do not listen to a word I say Until you are ready to leap. I am not what you're looking for If you want to feel good about where you always are. I am here for The Rising, devoted and faithful. If you meet me there, I will be honored to be part of your Becoming." Susan Grace

"The job of a spiritual guide, counselor or therapist is not to fix people. It is to act as a midwife for an emotional re-birthing process. Just like you cannot save a laboring woman from experiencing her contractions, without robbing her of a crucial part of the process, we cannot save a person from experiencing the waves of emotional pain." Teal Scott"

Hi friends. I am officially accepting counselling clients again and excited to be back! As most of you know I specialize in working with women (including any lovely human identifying as a woman) going through big or small transitions in their life and wanting to move through these changes mindfully and in alignment with their deepest values, their heart, their body and their soul. I offer a unique and unconventional approach to counselling that includes action-based coaching,... mindfulness and experiential embodiment practices - I often find that when the mind gets out of the way, true magic happens and we more easily reconnect to our own inner wisdom and knowing. If you or anyone you know could use this flavour of support at this time, please drop me an email at: [email protected] I offer a free 30 min meeting so you can make sure I am the right fit. Warm blessings and feel free to share! http://thirdroadcounselling.com
