To all the fathers out there, enjoy this beautiful day!
Its been wonderful providing routine eyecare services again for the past few weeks! We are following all public health guidelines which includes wearing a face covering to enter the office. Feel free to bring your own clean mask, or we have them available for a $1 donation to Canadian Vision Care. CVC is a registered charity dedicated to providing eyecare services in the developing world.
Dr. Rode and Dr. Deschamps are proud to be serving your eyecare needs in Kneehill County.
Our friends at the University of Waterloo have compiled the list of how to continue wearing contact lenses safely! https://core.uwaterloo.ca/covid-19/

As you are likely aware, the Government of Alberta announced that optometrists will be able to reopen as early as May 4. We are very excited to be able to provide routine eyecare services again... but there are changes to consider as we move forward. The Alberta College of Optometrists has made many recommendations on how to ease back to routine care while keeping our patients, staff, and doctors safe. This means we must ask for your patience with us for just a bit longer. ... If you had an appointment that was cancelled, or called while we were closed, we will be calling you as soon as possible. If you are due for your routine annual eye exam this spring, we will also be contacting you. If you need an appointment (urgent or otherwise), please call us and we will see you as soon as we are able. We will continue to provide emergency care, eyeglass repair, contact lens orders, and eye drops. Going forward into a new normal will be an adjustment. There will be many changes in office procedures to keep our community safe and healthy. Thank you for your understanding and we cant wait to see you again soon!
Thank you to our wonderful medical doctors!

It is inevitable that we are using more digital devices these days. Is your household experiencing digital eyestrain? Symptoms can include: redness or irritation blurry vision dry eyes headaches... neck pain or back pain. Consider the 20-20-20 rule! Every 20 minutes, take a 20 second break to look at something 20 feet away.
