How to become a GREAT dive buddy: DAN O2 Emergency Oxygen Course! Learn to recognize the problem, respond with appropriate care, and minimize effects of diving injuries. Understanding how to administer oxygen is essential to saving body tissues, enhances the elimination of inert gases and helps shrink dangerous gas bubbles! We will be teaching an Emergency Oxygen for Scuba Divers Course on November 25th at 6:00pm. Make Wally smile and practice safe SCUBA!

Calling all keeners! We are headed to Silver Islet to go diving on Sunday, November 15th, at 11am! It was beautiful visibility and quite warm last weekend! Warm water diving starts on Monday Nights. We have pool time at Churchill pool time at pool is 5:45 until 7:00 pm. It's official! Our pool nights will occur on Thursday nights at the Canadian Games Complex! Our first pool night will be November 19th! The pool time allotted is from 7:30pm to 9:30pm please account for travel time, rental pickup and gear set up outside of this time! The maximum number of divers is 10 so make sure you let us know and book ahead! The pool fee is $15.00. If you need equipment tank rentals are an additional $5.00 and a full gear rental is a $25.00 fee.

Had a blast on Discovery Charters over the weekend visiting the Rappahannock Shipwreck and local historic bays! Thank you for 20 years of adventure Paul Turpin, you will be missed! AND a big thank you to everyone who made it out for a weekend of fun! Now that there is a mooring on the Rappahannock thanks to the captain and crew we plan on doing many more weekends out diving the north shore!

The Advanced Adventurer program allows you to experience five different open water dives from five SSI Specialty programs without requiring you to complete the entire Specialty. The program will include a night dive, a boat dive, a wreck dive, a deep dive and a navigation dive! If you are unsure of your next step, this is the perfect way to advance your dive skills and experience, and to identify which Specialty programs interest you. The course costs $250.00 and you will ear...n the SSI Advanced Adventurer certification after completing this program. The boat charter will be on Sept 13th at 10am. There is a maximum of 5 students for this program! Sign up now while spots are still open! Attention: The Advanced Adventurer certification is not counted towards the AOWD Recognition. To achieve one or more specialty certification(s) for the AOWD, you may decide to complete one or more of these specialties. Your dives from the Advanced Adventurer course will of course be counted.

Calling all divers!!!!!!! A few divers from the shop are headed to Sault Ste Marie for a diving trip! They will be leaving on Friday the 21st, Diving both the Saturday and Sunday (22nd and 23rd) and heading back to Thunder Bay on the 24th. The diving will be guided by two trusted divers from the shop. The locations and dive logistics will be posted shortly! There is a dive shop in the area for tank fills and Thunder Country will be happy to supply you with gear rentals before your departure! Let us know if you are interested in joining this adventure!

If you have ever caught yourself wondering "Where the heck am I???" Then the Navigation Course is for you! Become confident in your navigation skills and enjoy diving more!
