The E-set is an electric-powered setting tool that eliminates the use of power charges and hydraulic oil. There is no pressurized chamber returning to the surface and no bleed-off procedure required to perform making the E-set very safe to handle and service. The Tier 1 E-...set provides consistent and accurate setting forces, utilizes minimal consumables, and does not discharge any combustion gases to the atmosphere. The electronic design of the tool, and elimination of explosive activation, permits the ability to capture detailed downhole data including temperature, voltage, and amperage over time during the installation and setting sequence. This data can be downloaded to confirm setting forces applied or to provide additional diagnostic information should there be any anomalies during the plug and perf operation.
