Happy Friday everyone!! Let’s make today a fun one for children of all ages and get a little messy with some bubble painting!! Materials:... - small plastic containers to hold the paint mixture (cups) - tempera paint in a variety of colors - liquid dish soap - water - straws - a push pin - small pieces of thick paper (construction, card stock, watercolor paper) How to: 1. First pour in a small amount of different coloured paint in each container on the bottom. (Ask a parent if needed!) 2. Next squirt in some dish soap 3. Add a few inches of water to each container and mix! The mixture should be thin enough that you can blow bubbles out of it! 4. Grab your straw and have a parent assist you with poking a hole in the straw near the top where you will be blowing. This just helps ensure you won’t drink any of that yucky paint water. 5. Start BLOWING! Blow until bubbles start overfilling the cup 6. Grab your piece of paper and place it over the bubbles that have started over filling! This will create a unique and fun pattern on your paper! 7. Add as many different colours as you would like!! 8. VOILA! There is your masterpiece!! It’s Tuesday friends, and it’s a little blah outside today...so why not try these super fun Pom Pom shooters to blast that inside boredom away? We always scouring the internet or our resources for creative fun things for you to do with the kiddos! YOU WILL NEED:... Paper Cups or toilet paper rolls Balloons, 12 Pom Poms, Assorted (for firing) Duct Tape (or heavy-duty tape) Construction/Scrapbook Paper Scissors Ruler HOW TO: 1. If using a paper or plastic cup make sure you ask an adult to cut the bottom out of the paper cup with a knife or scissors. If using a toilet paper roll, you are all set with step one! 2.Decorate your cup or tube with paper, stickers, markers, paint tape, etc. Like we’ve said before Customization is ALWAYS fun! 3. Trim the very top off a standard 12 balloon with scissors. Knot the end of the balloon. Gather the cut balloon and stretch it over one end of the cup, centering the knot over the opening. Do the same if you are using a cup. (Don’t be afraid to ask for help!) We’ve attached a picture for reference for this step! 4. Secure the balloon piece on to paper cup with duct tape. Regular tape will only work for a short period of time. Alternatively, ask a parent to help you glue gun this step. 5. VIOLA! It’s time for the fun! Load the pom pom shooter with pom-poms, pull back on the knotted end and then let go to launch the pom poms! You can hold competitions to see who got the farthest, set up targets (like buckets) to fire into, or you can just shoot it in the air and try to catch it again! Remember, if you create it , let us see it!!

There is one of a kind artworks, gorgeous wearable items and fantastic outings to bid on with all proceeds going towards continuing to provide all inclusive/ all age pro...grams, Gallery exhibits that promote and provide a space for local/non local artists and emerging artists, a unique inviting space for local creators to sell their work, a fun atmosphere for children in the summers, and more!!!! Look how adorable these hand painted mugs turned out from our summer program with the kids!! If your child is interested, we will be running another underglaze hand painted mug course for children age 5-12 Oct. 14th 6:30-7:30pm (Megan will be showing them some fun techniques and how to do a pumpkin mug!)
