As many of you know, we have the largest selection of shoelaces in Thunder Bay. I can’t say for certain, but I would wager that we also have the largest selection in all of Ontario. But you don’t always HAVE to buy a new pair.....sometimes only the aglet is missing. Did you know that’s what they are called? Aglets, those unappreciated little plastic tips on the ends of shoelaces, that often go unnoticed until they fail. Have you ever tried putting a frayed lace through a small shoe eyelet????? We can install metal aglets on shoelaces as a repair, or just an upgrade to new laces, so you can go from picture #1 to picture #2!

This customer is very happy with the boots I recommended he buy to replace his Aldo units....... Hopefully he is just as happy with the new soles we installed! I think the Vibram sole pairs nicely with the SVIG heel.

Once upon a time, I used Irish Spring soap. It was a very long time ago, and I broke out in a terrible rash. Ever since then, I avoid store bought, mass produced, soap bars. It’s a challenge finding good quality, affordable, natural soap bars, but I think I’ve found just that! I like this soap so much that I’ve decided to sell it in the shop. What better way for me to support local business, and never run out of soap again at the same time!... These are all natural, vegan, and hand made. They smell so good that I’m tempted to taste them! To start, we have a small selection of soap bars, as well as some really nice hemp lotions. So don’t be afraid to stop by, give’em a sniff, and take a couple home to try out.

A customer gifted me this little painting yesterday. The canvas is wood. It’s very unique and I love it!!

Oh, did you think we only worked on shoes? Here is a walking stick, for which we made a nice leather handle. This is just one example of a unique job that we seem to get every now and then. Not sure if we can help you with YOUR project? It doesn’t cost anything to stop by and let us have a look!

She comes in and says, He tells me he needs new boots. I told him to take them to the shoe repair and have them fixed..... He responds, There’s no such thing as shoe repair any more! Haha NOBODY does that any more! My response....Oh, he’s a non-believer, huh?.......... I figure this should do the trick! Hopefully he sees the light!

Just received word that these beautiful Alden boots have arrived safely, and are now in their owner’s possession. Hopefully they wind up on his feet at some point! (He told me he can’t wear them because they look too good )

It’s an exciting day today! I finally received my Netherlands shoe repair contest entries and award today! Unfortunately, after months of delay, they decided that they had to cancel their annual convention and awards ceremony. Now to figure out where to display these......

Once again, the day has arrived when I feel the desire to thank the community of Thunder Bay and surrounding areas for such incredible support. Seven years ago today, we opened for business, and couldn’t have been more well received. The community support we’ve experienced has been just fantastic. It has confirmed my belief that we are providing a much needed service. We are blessed with the best customers a business could ask for, and we are beyond grateful! So here is a hu...ge thank you, to everyone who has supported us so far. We appreciate you, and aim to never take you for granted. Thank you, Thunder Bay!! Also, thank you to all the customers who have sent us shoes from far away. You are part of the future growth of our business, and we appreciate your support just as much!

Another pair of favourites saved!

A couple of pairs of Allen Edmonds, soon to be shipped back to their owner. We are seeing a lot more mail in repairs lately. I’m so fortunate to have such strong support from the local community, and am extremely grateful for this mail-in business as well!

I put new soles on this customer’s boots. He saw my mask and decided he had to have it. I’m so happy it went to such an awesome guy!
