October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Recently, our Calgary teammate, Jori Enberg, has been going through breast cancer treatment, and she's graciously offered to share her story here, to help raise awareness and prevent others from going through the same thing. This, from Jori: "July 14. Went for routine mammogram. Within 16 days was on the operating table for a double mastectomy. My cancer is hormone driven. Called Invasive Ductal Carcinoma.... I was allowed 6 weeks to heal and received first chemo on 25 September. I have 18 weeks of chemo. Then a hormone immunotherapy, followed by radiation. If I can send any message through this trying time, MAKE TIME. to get checked , both men and women. I would never have visualized this for me, as most of us warrior women don’t. But it happens.
