Successful company leaders always talk about how important it is to have company core values. Value statements are a simple one sentence that has pages of meaning! In doing research for this post, I came across many core values of larger companies. Without a doubt, I saw very clearly why these values workThey really mean something to the people that are working with them. ... In our company, one of our core values are, We do what is right not what pays most. It is simple and easy to remember. Whenever we are faced with a difficult decision and money is usually involved, we always go back to this value and make a ‘value based choice’. In November of 2016 we donated a playhouse to the community garden. Then in May of 2019 we were privileged enough to provide the helical screw piles for the base of the metal 7ft Memorial Tree Sculpture to commemorate the 2016 wildfire in the Wood Buffalo Region. This tree provided community members a place to bring a key as a symbol of their loss to help honour, heal and let go. Keys may be placed inside the trunk of the tree as a tribute to recognize that loss. Every time we are awarded a project our first reaction is excitement and happiness! Then immediately it switches to worry and wonder because as my partner Mat always says:..The biggest mistake wins the job.

We worked on a project in Redcliff that required, the client, the general contractor, two sub-contractors, the consultant and two engineering companies to all work together to come up with a solution to complete the project....We did! As a result we successfully completed the project. "Synergy".. ..the interaction or cooperation of two or more organizations, substances, or other agents to produce a combined effect greater than the sum of their separate effects.
