Medical buildings must encourage patients, staff and visitors to wear a mask. With this being said it is not easy to keep multiple supplies on hand. When coming to the Tony Day Family Medical Clinic please prepare yourself to wear a mask and if you have your own we encourage you to wear it thus saving supplies. Good news! The Tony Day Family Medical Clinic will now have a family doctor here as well on Thursday June 4th with available appointments

Notice to Patients: As of May 4, 2020, optometrists will once again be able to provide routine care. However, the procedures and protocols at our office will b...e anything but routine! Here is some of what you can expect: A lot more signs... Before entering the building, you will need to ensure that you pass the screening criteria. Anyone who has travelled outside the province in past 14 days, has been in contact with anyone with confirmed/suspected COVID-19 within the past 14 days, or has potential symptoms of COVID-19 (fever, cough, shortness of breath, or flu-like symptoms) will not be permitted into the building. Once inside the building, there will be signage to help direct the flow of traffic and maintain proper social distancing. A lot more masks As many of the procedures we need to do in the office cannot be done from 6ft away, we are taking other precautions when social distancing cannot be maintained. For example, we recommend that all individuals entering our office wear a mask or face covering for the duration of their visit, provided it is safe for them to do so. We will have a limited supply of face coverings available, but would appreciate if patients could supply their own whenever possible. Our staff will be provided with approved masks and face shields to wear when needed, and we are in the process of setting up plexiglass partitions for an extra barrier between patients and staff. A lot less people One of the most effective ways of ensuring that we can maintain social distancing is to limit the number of people in the office at any given time. Our staff will be working in teams, to minimize the number of staff members in the office at one time. We are also decreasing the number of exams we do in a day, to help ensure efficiency and to allow sufficient time for cleaning protocols between patients. Some appointments (such as those for eye infections) may be done remotely. We ask that anyone coming in to the office for frame adjustments /repairs or to look at glasses call ahead to arrange an appointment in our dispensary. All of our paperwork (insurance forms, patient information forms, and contact lens order forms) will be available on our website and can be submitted electronically. When you get to the office, we welcome you to call to check in, in order to minimize the time you spend in our reception area. As Saskatchewan moves through the phases of reopening, our policies and protocols will likewise change. We appreciate your continued patience during this time; we know a lot of people have been eagerly waiting for businesses and services to reopen, and it may be frustrating if there is more waiting involved. We thank you for your support and understanding, and can’t wait to see you from 6ft!

If you are needing a medication renewal or simple non hands on thing our doctors are happy to connect with you over the phone. The Tony Day Family Medical Clinic has been advised to take no coughs and colds. We are no longer swabbing patients in clinic. We will help you set up a swab appointment at the hospital. The Tony Day Family Medical Clinic would love the communities help in comprising a list of VOLUNTEER DRIVERS With the bus systems no longer available we are finding an increased need in helping people get to the city for specialist appointments. This will be in situations an ambulance is not necessary. Many people are just uncomfortable driving in a city setting... These drivers would be called down a list to check their availability in driving, the senior or person in need would be responsible for paying the volunteer mileage or fill their tank of fuel (which would be determined between driver and passenger) Volunteers have the right to pass if the date does not work as well as set specific distance such as Regina only, Brandon only, Saskatoon etc. If this good deed interests you please call the clinic at 306-482-1240 we would love the support

We have had such wonderful feedback with our Walk-In Clinic and enjoy adding such a valuable tool in our community. Here are a few things to keep in mind;

With the busy season upon us every appointment matters! We do our best to make sure everyone gets seen however when a NO SHOW happens it can be very frusterating that someone in need was turned away. We are not even half way into our month and we have had 8 NO SHOWS. Please please write your appointment down somewhere you will see it and call if you can not make it so we can quickly fill it with someone who needs it! Thank you for your understanding

His home is King Street Chiropractic in Estevan. Please call 306-634-2918 to make your appointment! What a great service to better the community!

Here is some information on Dr. Tracey the Chiropractor : Dr. Tracey was born and raised in Weyburn, Saskatchewan. He underwent three years of undergraduate education at the University of Saskatchewan before moving to Toronto to obtain his Doctor of Chiropractic from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. Dr. Tracey is also a certified acupuncture provider. Since graduating in 2018, Dr. Tracey moved back to Southeast Saskatchewan and is excited to start his chiropractic career in Estevan and the surrounding communities. Dr. Tracey enjoys playing a wide variety of sports, there is really nothing he won’t try. Although basketball, hockey, and golf are among his favorites. Dr. Tracey embraces the outdoors and is an avid hunter and fisherman.

As many of you know today was my (Melissa) last day of work at the clinic. Our family has decided to move to Manitoba. I would like to thank the board members both past and present for letting me be a part of a great clinic from the first day. Thank you to the great physicians whom I have had the privilege to work beside. I have learned quite a few new skills while at this job and hope to use them well in the future. I have made new friends whom I will cherish. This clinic and it’s surrounding communities made this East Coast girl feel welcome. To all my patients thank you for making me love my job more than I already did. I will miss working here and all of you. I know that you are all in good hands with Amber and Amy.
