We are one week into our lockdown. If you are struggling with not having access to the gym, head on over to my Instagram page. I will be sharing at home movements that you can currently be working on to increase your abilities once you are able to head back to the gym. These will include a self assessment and corrective exercises that can be done to increase your mobility and body positioning. These moments will carry over to your squats, pushups, planks... etc and will help you move better in your daily activities. @toptierfitness
What an amazing feeling to get off a coaching call with one of my nutrition clients this morning, and have her tell me how awesome she feels! She ate everything that was served and yet she felt good and slept well. Proper eating does not mean restricting what you eat, but learning how to eat. If your body gets a chance to slow down and enjoy what you have, it tends to crave less and digest better. So great to see positive changes over the holidays!! By the way, this was my beautiful Christmas dessert made by my sister.
This is why we train. Not for the looks, not for the compliments from our friends, but so we can be our strongest and healthiest selves for the people we love.
Today’s class marks the end of our outdoor classes. A huge thank you to everyone who participated over the last couple of months. Your support to keep Top Tier Fitness alive means the world to me! That being said, fitness does not have to stop with the closure of gyms and the weather changing. Top Tier offers options from virtual one on one personal training to individualized programming to nutritional counseling. See where you might fall on the continuum. Try to make the switch to the next level. Once that is comfortable, try another level! Baby steps can be the strongest way to stick with your lifestyle changes rather than a complete overhaul, which usually ends up being very temporary.

I think we all need a little reminder right now to just keep going. I love the idea of adding yet to your sentence. I’m not strong enough ... YET. I’m not in the body I want ... YET. If you give up now, you won’t get there. If you keep working towards it, one day at a time, you will. Stay strong. Believe in yourself. You got this.
