COURSE SCHEDULE FOR: ONTARIO HUNTERS EDUCATION PROGRAM (OHEP) --- Hunting License ---... ----------------------------------------------------------- Teaching time: 12.5 hours (its long, we know, but you got this!) - excluding breaks and the exam period Class size: 7 (you will get the attention, detail, and answers to the questions youre paying for!) ----------------------------------------------------------- Psst... COURSE SCHEDULE FOR: CANADIAN RESTRICTED FIREARMS SAFETY COURSE (CRFS) --- Restricted, hang-gun licensing ---... For those of you who are unaware, a restricted firearm is: * handguns that are not prohibited; * Semi-automatic, centre-fire rifles and shotguns with a barrel shorter than 470 mm. * Rifles and shotguns that can be fired when their overall length has been reduced by folding, telescoping or other means to less than 660 mm. In our courses, you will also learn about shooting ranges near you and how to get involved in local clubs! ----------------------------------------------------------- PRE-REQUISITES, FEES, CLASS-TIMES: 1. You must have taken and passed the Canadian Firearms Safety Course 2. If you take the course WITHIN 30 days of the CFSC, you will pay $130 for the course and it will be a minimum of 4 hours long. 3. If you take the course AFTER 30 days of the CFSC, you will pay $170 for the course, and it will last have a duration of 6 hours at minimum. For those of you who are unaware, a non-restricted firearm is an ordinary rifle and/or shotgun as defined by the RCMP. These firearms are typically used in hunting practices, but can also be used in recreational target shooting at shooting ranges, competitions, etc. In our courses, you will also learn about shooting ranges near you and how to get involved! ----------------------------------------------------------- Teaching time is 8.5 hours (excluding breaks) which includes a practical and theory-based exam! Class size: 7 ----------------------------------------------------------- Psst... We have pizza (on a lucky day!).
