A little food for thought..

Aspidoras sp. C125 Red #37 species of Callichthyidae spawned in our fish room! Another milestone for us starting last week finding eggs that continued everyday and still continuing to find eggs in our mops daily!! 2 groups of 9 in standard 10 gallon tanks and a small group of 5 in a 2.5 gallon seen in picture 2-3 that Rob McLure shared his success using a 5 gallon in which I had a few empty 2.5 gallon tanks with HMF filters so I thought I’d give it a shot with a group of my own with the flow at near max and it worked very well!

One of our bucephalandra gave us a today. No fertilizer or c02 used in any of our tanks so it was a nice surprise to find. I am sure they would look a lot better with proper lighting and care but just happy they seem to be staying alive let alone blooming for us. Can you name this species???

**Species spawn #36, Corydoras parallelus!** Corydoras parallelus finally giving up the goods with a first spawn in my first room! Thank you Mike Downey for supplying us the gorgeous adult specimens to work with. These came all the way from New Mexico, USA. Corydoras Sp. CW 146 male. Collectors have stated this species is caught along side the infamous CW 111 zebra or Vulcan Corydoras CW 146 is still highly sought after by collectors along with the still very expensive price tag ... The specimens we have been keeping for the last year, their patterns has started to changed once again! becoming darker/bolder along with the dorsal fin starting to grow higher in preparation for what I assume to be their spawning season. Females have been active, also thick and filled with Roe. for eggs in the upcoming weeks/months!

How about them amazon fires, they are STILL burning since August 2019 for anyone who has forgot. These are the things you won’t see on the daily news that NEEDS to be seen on repeat rather then the crap the media and social media feeds us. WE are the parasite killing this planet!... I take a small token of pride in the fact that many of the species I breed likely one day will no longer be found in the wild. Sadly preservation in captivity will likely be the only way to maintain many species in the close future. This is were all hobbyist who breed will contribute big or small. This is why I try to encourage my customers to breed the specimens I sell them. I also have no issue answering questions to those who are trying.
