Robbie and Saugeen GC were awarded the host club of the season by the players. Our 2020 Most Improved Player award goes to Austin Ryan. Austin Ryan’s solid season led him to receiving over 60% of votes from his peers. Ryan was victorious at Saugeen GC in a 5 hole playoff over Mike Gonko. Ryan’s sneaky long tee ball along with his ability to make putts led him to be a frequent sight on the top of the leaderboard. His good play cultivated in his 2nd place finish on the Mid-Season Swing as well as 3rd place on the TPT money list. His work ethic, h...is game and his personality all make him a must follow for the next few years as he continues on his professional golf journey. Congrats Austin! The 2020 host club of the year goes to..... Saugeen GC (@saugeengolfclub ) Saugeen GC was a fantastic host this year to the tour and our players loved it. The players raved about the course condition, and the hospitality at the course. A huge thanks from the tour and all of the players to @orobbie88 and @brad_young99 Can’t wait to be back up there in 2021!!

The 2020 sportsmanship award voted by their peers winner is, Selena Costabile. (@selenacos ) Selena’s huge heart, competitive nature and positive attitude has led her to a great season. She received over 70% of all votes for the award. She recently hosted a fundraiser for Alzheimer’s which many TPT supported her with their participation(@selenamemsforalz ) Selena finished her season taking great strides in her game. She was victorious once during the 2020 season with a 63 at Watson’s Glen. We look forward to following her promising career in 2021 when she begins her LPGA quest on the Symetra Tour(@road2lpga ).

The 2020 TPT player of the year voted by their peers is, Brendan Leonard. Leonard won the POY unanimously receiving all 30 votes! Brendan finished the season with 2 victories and a runner up finish. He earned the honor of the Mid-Season Swing champion with his outstanding play during the second half of the season. Leonard holds the TPT low score with his final round 62 at the Tour Championship. After 2 months and 6 tournaments, our Mid-Season Swing wrapped up yesterday. The swing offered $5000 worth of bonuses to our top 7 players. The swing began at Saugeen GC where Austin Ryan was victorious over Mike Gonko in a 5 hole playoff. One of our most exciting events of the season. The 2nd event was at Brooklea GC where Zach Giusti’s impressive play led to a win over Derek Gillespie. The 3rd event was at Silver Lakes GC where Derek Gillespie and Sudarshan Yellamaraju ...tied atop the leaderboard. The 4th event led us to Olivers Nest for the Olivers Nest Pro-AM where Blair Bursey was victorious after making a 7 foot putt on the 36th hole to edge out Chris Wilson. The 5th event was the Wyndance Pro-Am where Brendan Leonard continued his solid play to a victory. Finally, we ended at Galt CC for our Tour Championship where Derek Gillespie birdied 5 of his last 6 to beat Brendan Leonard by 1 despite his final round 62. Thank you to all of our players, and sponsors helping give our players a great bonus for their outstanding play.

The 1st TPT Tour Champion was crowned today at Galt CC. After 3 difficult days of scoring on a classic Stanley Thompson design, Derek Gillespie was victorious with scores of 70-68-65(-7). He overcame a 4 stroke deficit on the back nine His win earned him $5750 for winning the Tour Championship. Brendan Leonard's 2nd place finish was good enough to take the Mid-Season Swing Champinship. He will earn the $2500 bonus for his superb play. ... The conclusion of the Mid-Season Swing ended today after a grueling 6 tournament series that started in the beginning of August. The final Standings were as follows. 1st Brendan Leonard $2500 2nd Austin Ryan $1000 3rd Derek Gillespie $500 4th Mike Gonko $400 5th Zach Giusti $300 6th Andrew Ledger $200 7th Blair Bursey $100

Galt CC once again showed it’s teeth. The wind again played a factor. Marc Casullo fired the low round of the day with a round of 65(-5). He had a share of the lead at -5 with Lucas Kim. Austin Ryan and Sebastian Szirmak trail by 1 as both players hang around 1 back of the lead. Should make for an exciting final round! After a challenging few days, 16 players made the cut at +2 or better. Final round begins tomorrow at 9:00 AM

Galt CC showed to be a great test of golf! Lucas Kim attacked the front 9 of this Stanley Thompson Classic with a 29(-6). His 63 (-7) is good enough for the Round 1 lead. All 43 players will be back for 2nd round play tomorrow beginning at 10:00 AM. After the conclusion of the 2nd round, we will cut to the top 15 players and ties before the final round.
