We will be talking about how solid relationships can shape resilience in the face of the stress and trauma of racism. We are also going to give a special focus on bi-racial couples, answering the question, "How does one partner who has not directly experienced racism really support their spouse who lives in a hostile world?" We are really looking forward to fielding questions from bi-racial couples or really anyone who is looking for some help in this vein. So please send in your questions to [email protected] or leave it in the comments below!

Happy to promote my colleague Rivka Sidorsky & Associates who's running a great seminar! Coronavirus has you down? How stress affects sexual desire differently in partners and what you can do: The pandemic has caused stress to all of us in different ways. Some people will cope with this stress by wanting to engage in sex, intimacy, and physical affection and others will push people away, feel overwhelmed, and want to just be alone. This magnifies the differences in desire be...tween the couple. This talk will address the following questions: - What is sexual desire anyways? - How is sexual desire different between men and women? - Is sex a need or a want? - What are the factors that impact men and women's sexual desires? - Does the way you were raised impact your sexual desire? - What can you do when there is a small or large gap between your two desires? - How can you meet each other's needs? - What are some practical strategies for couples? Couples are encouraged to attend together from the privacy of their homes. All video participants will be muted and videos will be off. For added sensitivity, this talk is available for telephone call-in audio. If you register for the talk but cannot attend live, you will be emailed a video recording. Zoom meeting code will be emailed after registration. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/coronavirus-has-you-down-how-s
