As we have seen with other services and amenities that have reopened or restarted, ferry service to the Toronto Islands will be different with a number of new m...easures in place to help reduce the spread of #COVID19. In order to allow for physical distancing on the ferries and in the terminal, ferry tickets will be limited to 5,000 per day and must be purchased online at: toronto.ca/ferry. This is a lower number than what we usually see, but is a good example of the responsible approach we are taking to reopening. I encourage visitors to schedule extra time for their trip as there may be delays due to reduced capacity, #COVID19 procedures and increased cleaning of the vessels and ferry terminal facilities. While we get used to these changes, I ask for people’s patience and understanding. City staff are hard at work doing everything they can to make this experience work so that people can still visit our beautiful Toronto Islands this summer and I know that residents will continue to do the right thing and follow these guidelines as we move forward with reopening.
