The LACGH Mammography suite is equipped with the industry and regions first patient-assisted compression device (Dueta), giving patients control during their mammograms! Not only that, it is the first OBSP site in our area that addresses the sensory experience of the patient with visual and auditory features built into the suite. Engaging sense’s during mammography has been shown to reduce patient anxiety and perception of discomfort. Women in the community who have had their mammograms on the new unit have reported being extremely satisfied with their experience.
