Every year during Fire Prevention Week, South Stormont Fire and Rescue firefighters are recognized for their years of service. Because of the COVID-19 Pandemic and social distancing guidelines, awards will be presented to members at a later date. On behalf of staff, Council and our residents, we would like to extend a sincere thank you to all of our incredible firefighters receiving service awards this year!

Congratulations to Angée Bassett for winning the South Stormont Fire and Rescue Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Alarm Verification Contest. Angée had the opportunity to choose a $100 gift certificate to any South Stormont restaurant and decided on Restaurante Sol de Acapulco! Thank you everyone who participated in the contest and ensured their smoke and carbon monoxide alarms were working. We hope this contest was a reminder of the importance to do so. It could save your life!
