Message to our friends, family and community from Tirecraft North Okanagan: During these difficult times, we are coming together as a community and everyone is doing their part to stop the spread of COVID-19. With the safety of our customers, staff and suppliers at the top of mind, we have made some necessary adjustments to the way we conduct our business. These safety measures include: Closing of the showrooms in each of our locations. We will come to meet you outside to take your information. Expanded sanitation protocols, including surface sanitation of vehicle interiors and counter-tops, washrooms, door handles, payment terminals, tools and equipment. Protective gloves available for staff and customers if requested. Cash payments will not be accepted. Please have debit or visa cards available. Self-reporting of health concerns, either at home or in the workplace. Our team is dedicated to this practice and we ask the same of our customers and suppliers. We understand the tire and automotive service is necessary to keeping us all safe on the roads. Much of the local economy is dependent on the service we provide and we strive to continue serving the community in this way. In order to meet these needs, we may be making necessary adjustments to keep our businesses open during these times and will keep everyone informed as we do. Our initial policy changes will be as follows: Priority will be given to vehicles supporting essential services workers Seasonal changeovers and rotations will not be serviced unless the tires are deemed to be unsafe by our tire technicians Recreational vehicles will not be serviced Non-essential vehicle maintenance will be provided upon availability only As we navigate through uncharted waters, we understand that our approach may have to evolve on a daily basis. Thank you for being patient with us during this period of uncertainty. The recommendations of the Government of Canada. Interior Health as well as our provincial and local governments will determine if further restrictions are needed, or if and when we are eventually able to scale back our restrictions as infection rate diminish. We want to thank everyone doing their part during these times, including the medical professionals, emergency workers, truck drivers, stevedores, grocery clerks, warehouse personnel and everyone else supporting them. We sincerely hope that everyone will continue the practice of social distancing and increased sanitization, respecting everyone around them especially those most vulnerable at this time. To our staff and valued customers regarding COVID-19, Our location is committed to our core values of the health and well- being of our employees and customers. As we continue to monitor the local and global impact of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), and relevant implications to our workplace, we believe that it is important to share with you the efforts being made to ensure the safety of our employees and customers. We are following directions and updates from the Governme...nt of Canada for all guidelines, prevention, best practices, as well as recommendations from the public health authorities in our region. We encourage all of our employees and customers to seek education on the matter from these resources. We are taking additional preventative measures in our store, including: Increasing the cleaning protocol in customer service areas, washrooms and work areas. This includes the usage of disinfecting products and increased attention to high touch points. Employees & customers will have access to sufficient soap and paper towel in the washroom areas. Tirecraft associates will use gloves, steering wheel covers, and disinfectant wipes and spray to handle customer vehicles’ touch points before and after service. Tirecraft associates have been advised, in accordance to health authority resources, to stay home if they are showing signs of fever, persistent cough or difficulty breathing. Tirecraft associates who have travelled via airport or have been out of the country in the past 14 days will work with the health authority guidelines to participate in the self-regulated quarantine process. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to implement these measures as quickly as possible in our work environments. At this time, we will continue to operate with regular hours at our store. Should the situation change in the coming days and weeks, we will may make adjustments based on local advisement.
