"Six months into using the Trexo, not only has Griffin's gait and mobility improved, but it has also led to increased independence and curiosity about his surroundings" While we set out to build the Trexo for the sole purpose of walking, helping kids become more independent and curious is what it's really all about. So glad that our equipment can enable kids to be more comfortable with themselves. It's like Oscar Wilde said: "Be yourself, everyone else is taken". ... Thank you for sharing your story so beautifully Griffin, Michelle and Adam Link to story: http://cpnet.canchild.ca//michelle-and-adam-shales-experie

Monday vibes from @lifewithelliegirl check out their experience managing tone with the Trexo Home Reposted from @lifewithelliegirl Happy Friday! We made it. // Today’s @trexorobotics is all about tone. Ellie has high tone in all 4 limbs and as shes grown it has been the biggest beast to try and control. High tone results in restrictive moments, pain, discomfort, and challenges for Ellie when walking. Enter her Trexo. Reciprocal rhythmic movements have proven to be ke...y in helping lower Ellie’s leg tone both through her Trexo and riding her bike. In the first video at the beginning of a Trexo session you’ll see that Ellie’s movements are very rigid. The robotic system is trying to bring Ellie’s legs through a full gait pattern but because of high tone, her knees aren’t unlocking well. The second video is 20 minutes into her session. Beautiful rhythmic fluid movements in her legs and knees unlock and bend easily. Even better than the fluid movement is that Ellie says she feels so, so much better and more comfortable after a Trexo session. It’s a win-win for us! // #Trexo #TrexoWalkingClub #Trexo_Ambassador See more

Hint, it may or may not include a Trexo treadmill Isn't this video of Roman walking in the garden just a dream! Also, nice socks!

Would you believe it has been a year since we got the Trexo for Kawai?!?! Allicyn here with my weekly update on #KawaisTrexoDiary. Kawai's journey with the Trexo has been a gradual progression. He was not the child who took to the Trexo right away. He needed time to adjust and we had to add different supports for him to help him feel stable and confident. With any new equipment it is important to remember there is ALWAYS an adjustment period. The Trexo was no different.... We had to reset our expectations and meet Kawai where he was. But we were confident because we knew that the Trexo was more flexible in making adjustments to fit Kawai vs. other equipment. Once we figured out the added supports (neck pillow, spio suit, theratogs, etc.) we were able to start with more regular sessions. When we got it last year, we started with air walking and progressed to lowering him to overground walking in March. He started with 100 steps and 5 minute long sessions. Now he is finishing 1000+ steps in longer sessions, going up to 30 minuted at a time! Some highlights from this year: Kawai completed his first virtual 5k We dressed up as batman in his batmobile using his Trexo Kawai started initiating and taking steps again after stopping initiating at 6 months old! Now, we have a gait trainer on order, can you believe it?!? Overall, we have seen better head control, trunk control, decreased spasticity, better sleep, better swallowing, increased vocalizations, better tracking with his vision, and increased confidence! I decided to share the video of his first session in air gait vs. how he looked in the Trexo earlier in this week. I don’t like to share videos when he is upset, but it is important for families to know that he did not start out happy with his Trexo. But..just look at him 1 year later in the side by side comparison. We are so excited to continue his Trexo use and can’t wait to see how he progresses over the next year!

Things to be grateful for on this chilly November Monday: kids who are absolutely crushing their Trexo sessions! Check out Mitchell walking without the saddle seat for the first time! Mitchell was initially set up in his Trexo with the saddle to help him walk with a good posture and keep that bum from sinking down. Now, his legs and core are so strong, he can walk without the saddle to help keep him up! Just look at his posture, no sinking happening there! Isn't it amazing? Way to go Mitchell, great job!

Violet has had her Trexo almost one year. During this time, we were happy to watch her celebrate 100,000 steps. Then 200,000... 300,000.. and just last week she took her 400,000th step! We decided to connect with Violet's mom, Jen, and learn just what 400,000 steps and a year of consistent Trexo can get you. As expected, there is quite a stark difference in Violet's strength and endurance. Even more so, Jen points out that the Trexo has done wonders for Violet's self esteem. ...And you can definitely see it on her face, beaming with a big wide smile. Amazing work Violet, congrats from the team at Trexo! You are truly one remarkable and impressive lady! Hi everyone, Allicyn here for my weekly update for #kawaistrexodiary. This week we're amazed by Kawai's head control Even though he has his neck cushion on he still has to work to hold up his head. He looks so much more stable and is really maintaining control of his upper body. Still can't believe how much of a difference the Trexo has made in a year! This session I decided to have him wear his Benik wrist braces and Bamboo arm braces. In the past Kawai would have fought a...gainst this idea and not cooperated having all these things on him in his Trexo. However, he tolerated them quite well and they seemed to give him some additional support he needs. Next week we will share a video of him using his eStim while in his Trexo! What do you want to see about the Trexo? Let us know and we'll give it a go
