Sacred Heart (WI) is the first school in Ontario to complete the Online Bus Safety Program this year! We are so happy Buster the Bus and the other educators at Intertrain are able to deliver this program virtually for the 2020-2021 school year!
Take a moment today to reflect on the history and celebrate the cultures of First Nations communities #OrangeShirtDay2020
Eating or drinking on the bus puts you as well as others at risk. Don't do it! #tbsafetytip
Tomorrow, Friday September 25 is a PA Day for all ALCDSB, LDSB, and HPEDSB schools. Buses for these schools will not be running.
Your driver will let you know when it is safe to cross the street. Make sure you are looking for their signal. #tbsafetytip
Tri-Board normally gets to November before Bus Cancellation Season...but 2020 has not been a normal year, so here we are! Visit triboard.ca/BusDelays for a list of ways you can stay up to date on your school bus's status. Families should pick at least one option for notifications and consider having a backup travel plan to get students to and from schools.
Students should not reach for something that has fallen under or beside the bus, especially near its tires because the driver cannot see you. Let your driver, monitor, or a member of school staff know instead. #tbsafetytip
We appreciate the patience of all drivers, students, school staff, and neighbours as everyone gets used to new pandemic protocols at school sites. #AllinThisTogether
There will likely be more bus delays and cancellations this year due to the pandemic. Please ensure you are signed up to receive notifications, either by email, the app, or twitter. As a reminder, we do not monitor comments or private messages. Please contact our office at 613-354-1981 or [email protected] if you have questions
Ask your school about pickup/drop off instructions (regardless of if students are bus riders, walkers, carpooling, biking, etc) to ensure all students are safely entering and exiting the school zone. This includes all students, parents, and vehicles giving space to school buses to avoid being in the danger zone around (and especially between) them. #tbsafetytip
Temporary Bus Passes will NOT be issued this school year. Students who wish to ride with a friend (for school projects, sleepovers, etc) will not be permitted on the bus and will need to make alternate arrangements.
Everyone has a role to play in preventing the spread of COVID-19 through the community and students should be encouraged to do their part while riding the bus. Tri-Board sees this as another layer of bus safety so we will be posting pandemic-related messages along with our weekly safety tips. Follow @triboardbus and #TBSafetyTip so you don't miss out!
Tri-Board responds to hundreds of calls and emails a day this time of year. While our team is amazing, we have not quite memorized all 30,000+ rider details. Please provide student info in your message so we can look up their details in our database
