MOVEMBER is here !!! It's time to embrace the power of the Moustache and what it represents once again. This November, just like the last one, we will talk about men and their wellbeing. This month we will check on fathers, brothers, and sons in our community. We will listen, and we will speak up. The Moustache is a sign, a sign that reminds men that they are not alone. The Moustache starts conversations, and conversations make changes.... The Movember foundation is going stronger than ever, raising millions of dollars every year to support men's wellbeing across the globe. Last year we raised over $1000 to support the movement, thanks to our loving and supportive community. Here are some ways you can help: Check-in on men you care for and remind them that you are there for them Startup conversations about men's physical and mental health. Educated yourself and others about issues threatening the wellbeing of men. Please donate to the Movember foundation from the link in our bio. You can also get involved by sending us Moustache selfies on DM. (Ladies, it doesn't need to be real :D) #movember #menshealth #moustache #beard #noshavenovember #mustache

True North Climbing 07.10.2020

To our members and customers, Thank you for your support during these difficult times. We just learned that the Ontario government has ordered all gyms and indoor fitness centres to close again, for at least 28 days starting Saturday, October 10th. We’re very disappointed to be included in this shutdown. We feel we have been operating very safely and have had no reported positive tests for the virus in anyone who has been to the gym during the 2+ months since we reopened. Her...e’s what this means: -All memberships will be frozen again starting tomorrow. There is no need to tell us to freeze your membership, and no freeze fees will be charged. Monthly EFT members will not be billed tomorrow. -If you paid for any $20 climbing sessions, those funds would be held as a credit towards future services. While we are closed, we’ll be working on our new online retail store, coming soon! Keep an eye out for that. We hope to be open again in a few weeks. Until then, please stay safe. It's been a month since we've opened our doors again, so here's an update on some new things you may not know about. -We're extending bookings to 3-hour sessions - Setting is back in full swing... - Introductory lessons are available again - Rec programs slowly ramping up and offering more availability - Memberships freeze will remain free until further notice Safety is still our top concern, so here's what we're going to continue to do: Staying at 40 person capacity, instead of the 50 person allowance - We will maintain the 15-minute gap between bookings times for cleaning and proper social distancing - We will also continue fogging the walls and holds every day #climbesafe #torontorockclimbing #climbinggym

The Walls Are Meant For Climbing event has always centered around human connection and the goal to grow and diversify the sport of climbing. While we cannot meet physically for Global Climbing Day this year, the goal remains the same: celebrate the community we love and the ways in which climbing can be a tool to create a more inclusive and equitable world. We at True North would like to take this opportunity to celebrate the work of our friends at @canadian.adaptive.climbing.... We are especially proud of the Ontario Program Director, Kate Stewart, for the work she has done for the Toronto climbing community. Thank you Kate for all your passion and dedication. Connect virtually with change-makers and pioneers from the climbing community at 10 A.M. MT today to celebrate Global Climbing Day with a YouTube Live conversation about access, inclusion, and building a more equitable futurestarting with gyms and mountaintops. See the link in bio from this post for channel link. Join the conversation with @thenorthface on 8.22 #WallsAreMeantForClimbing
