This post will be staying at the top of the page, and updated as needed. It will explain who we are and what we do. We are Lori & Ted Holmquist. We operate this business from our home since 2014. We are registered with the City of Thunder Bay, and get a regular kitchen inspection, and always get an A. What do we make? We specialize in mostly frozen meals and fresh and frozen treats, homemade comfort food. We dabble in some catering too, such as fresh turkey and ham dinner...s on holidays such as Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas. You can place an order via Facebook, email, text, or phone, then we'll get back to you and arrange a good pick-up time. Or you can stop by one of our 5 retail locations. We accept cash and E-transfer only. Delivery available for orders over $50. Our retail locations: 1. South Neebing Variety: Sells everything we make, incl. fresh subs. 2. Valley Foods: Mostly tarts and treats, but also some frozen items. 3. Breakaway Gas station Oliver Rd: Frozen foods, treats, and subs. 4. Tim's Meats & Deli: Tarts only. 5. All these dinners serve one person. Most include a meat portion, potato and veggies. Choice of mashed potatoes or garlic parm roasted potatoes, and your choice of veggies (mix veg, peas, corn, carrots). Well it turns out that I will be able to make some Christmas baking trays! :D 36 pcs for $25. No substitutions or changes. Trays will contain 6 of each: shortbreads, fudge brownies, butterscotch bars, date squares, fruitcake cookies, and mini butter tarts. Please order by Dec. 1. Pickup weekend is Dec. 19 and 20th from 10-2pm only. Pay by cash at pick up. Please PM your order, and what day you'll be picking up, so then I can set a reminder for you.

For those who have pre-ordered Thanksgiving turkey dinners, the pick up times are 3 - 4:30 on both days. Facebook should send you a reminder of your appointment and all details are in the appointment. Payment preferred is cash (no tax), or E-transfer (plus hst, the morning of pickup please, due to a delay in EMT arriving at times) I will be far too busy to respond to messages quickly for the next 2 days.... Hey, any of our customers live out in Murillo? As of today, Valley Foods is carrying our tarts! If there is any of our frozen meals that you would like to see out there, please let them know, or me, and I'll let them know.

Pretty much everything we make can be found at South Neebing Variety, a short drive down hwy 61. Take a nice drive out and say hi to Fred & Teresa, and try out any of our delicious meals.

I'll be home all this week cooking up a storm! Single Combo dinners are cooked, then frozen in microwave containers, so are very easy and convenient for this hot weather.

Good for another 6 months!

I'm baking up fresh tarts today! 6 packs of raisin butter tarts and raspberry coconut tarts. Also available are MINI lemon tarts (frozen, pkg/12). $7/pkg or 3/$20. All the tarts freeze well.
