This was received by LCI District N2 and passed on to clubs in the District. Thank you, District N1. To all Lions and citizens of Nova Scotia:... On behalf of the District N 1 Lions, we wish to extend our deepest condolences on the recent activity in your Province. It is unfortunate that events like this, at times, appears to happen when often are ill prepared to deal with such matters. Any time multiple casualties are involved, it is those left behind that suffer the most when trying to deal with the tragedy. Know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and the first responders that must deal with such tragedy. From a personal viewpoint, I know it is not easy as I have had my share while working as a funeral attendant and EMT. Know this: We don’t walk alone Those we love are always with us. May the loving memories of days gone by bring you the strength you need today! With Deepest Sympathy. DG Lloyd Soucie & the entire District N 1 Pride of Lions

The Lions Club will be attending our event looking for new members..here is a little information about the club. Lions Clubs International (LCI) is the largest... service organization in the world, and Truro & District Lions Club is one of 70 clubs in Nova Scotia, or District N2, which has around 1,800 members across the province. LCI's five global causes include childhood cancer, diabetes, environment, hunger, and vision, although individual clubs have their own signature projects and causes they support. Truro & District's ongoing service projects include weekly bowling for the disabled, hosting Canadian Blood Services donor clinics in Truro, twice-annual Adopt-a-Highway in North River, and installation of Northwood Intouch personal alarms in Truro and Colchester County. Most of our projects and programs are for youth, the elderly, or the infirm. Annual fundraisers are pancake breakfasts in March, a merchandise bingo in February, and weekly radio bingo, and we hold other smaller fundraisers throughout the year. We support numerous local organizations, either financially or through event participation.
