We would like to extend a huge congratulations to both of our 2019-2020 TDG Bursary recipients, Alon & Chloe! Alon graduated from the University of Manitoba in June 2020 with a Bachelor of Science with Distinction. Alon’s goal is to work as a physician, with a specialty in cardiology, neurology, or anaesthesiology. He wrote the MCAT examination in June 2020, and is currently in the process of applying to the Max Rady College of Medicine at the University of Manitoba. Chloe gr...aduated from Ecole Kelvin High School in June of 2020 with an overall average of 99.2% in her Grade 12 courses, and was awarded the Governor General’s Medal in recognition of her academic success. This fall, Chloe is starting her Bachelors of Science at the University of Winnipeg. She looks forward to a future in the health sciences and to helping people in her community with her intelligence, determination, and kindness. The Chief Provincial Public Health Officer announced that the Winnipeg Metropolitan Region will be moved to the Orange level under the Province’s Pandemic Response System effective Monday, September 28, 2020. Health orders under this new level are being applied in a focused manner and do not change any of the measures related to the delivery of health care services, including dentistry. Patients should not neglect their ongoing oral health care, and can have confidence tha...t we are ready to see them. Delaying your oral health care can lead to overall negative health outcomes and further oral health complications. Tuxedo Dental Group has always undertaken careful infection prevention and control protocols to protect our patients and our dental team, and we have enhanced these protocols under the direction of provincial public health authorities since the COVID-19 outbreak. Patients can be assured that their health safety is our primary concern. There has been so much confusion lately on whether or not there is still daylight savings in Manitoba. Did the bill get passed to abolish daylight savings or did it not? After much debate, it turns out we do in fact still have daylight savings! So on Sunday, March 8th remember to SPRING ahead an hour!
