Wow! What an amazing experience this weekend. I was in a raft and this grizzly appeared directly in front of us and caught this slippery salmon! We were a safe distance away (hence the low quality, zoomed in video).

Even though the river has been full of fish, the bears have been more elusive this year. But 2 days ago guests got lucky! Guide Woody sent us this shot of a sow and her THREE second year cubs! So awesome. The Bella Coola Valley is currently open to tourism from BC Residents only. If you’re from BC and would like to come bear viewing, we have knocked off 30% our all-inclusive packages!
