Drink #7 Apple Old Fashioned This is our twist on an old favourite. Apple Old Fashioned comes together with rich flavours from apple butter, local bitters, bourbon and cinnamon. This drink will be sure to keep you warm during the holidays! Recipe as follows...... 1 sugar cube 2 tsp Twin Pines apple butter (made by the one and only Gramma Alma) 3-4 dashes of your favourite local aromatic bitters (we chose @dillonsdistills orange bitters) 2 strips apple peel 1/2 ounce sparkling water 1/2 ounce Twin Pines Ice Cider 2 1/2 ounces bourbon 1 cinnamon stick Place your sugar cube, apple butter, apple peel, bitters, Ice Cider and sparkling water into your glass of choice. Muddle ingredients together. Put your ice in, and pour bourbon over top. Stir together and garnish with a cinnamon stick. We will be open this Wednesday from 12 to 5 and throughout January on weekends only (Saturdays 9 to 5 and Sundays 1 to 5). Our Twisted Tree martini is made with our rich and delicious ice cider, and local small batch gin! These flavours go so well together that we think it shouldn’t be limited to just the holidays... Recipes as follows...... 1 1/2 ounces of local gin (we used @dillonsdistills ) 2 1/2 ounces of Twin Pines Ice Cider ice for shaking cedar, juniper or spruce for garnish Pour your gin and ice cider into a cocktail mixer filled with ice and give it a good shake. Strain mixture into martini glass and garnish with greenery of choice. Gin not your thing? We’ve got you... Drink #6.2 Classic Apple-tini This cocktail is just as delicious and classy as the first. You can’t go wrong with local premium vodka and our ice cider! Recipe as follows... 1 1/2 ounces of local vodka (we used @junction56distillery ) 2 1/2 ounces Twin Pines Ice Cider ice for shaking Apple for garnish Pour your vodka and ice cider into a cocktail mixer filled with ice and give it a good shake. Not to mention the Apple Pumpkin Shandy is delicious, made with fun ingredients like hard cider, pumpkin beer, caramel and cinnamon sugar! Recipe as follows...... 1/2 pint of your favourite local pumpkin beer (we chose @lb_brewing delicious brew) 1/2 pint of Twin Pines Hammer Bent Red (or another medium dry, apple forward Twin Pines Hard Cider) 2 tsp of caramel sauce cinnamon sugar to rim the glass Carefully drip caramel around the rim of your glass, then sprinkle cinnamon sugar over caramel drip. Pour pumpkin ale in glass, letting the foam settle. Finish by pouring in your hard cider. Recipe as follows...... 2 ounces Twin Pines sweet cider 2 ounces Twin Pines Hammer Bent Original (or another Twin Pines dry cider) 2 ounces dark rum 1/4 ounce fresh squeezed lime juice 4 ounces of non-alcoholic ginger beer Pour ingredients over ice and garnish with a wheel of lime.
