For the majority of students and faculty, classes will resume today. Dr. Miles Turnbull, VP Academic & Research and Dr. Claire Grogan, Associate VP Academic have issued a statement on online, hybrid and in-person courses for the Winter 2021 semester.

#ubishops students come from all over the world, but did you know that our university is part of the World University Service of Canada (WUSC-EUMC), also known as the Student Refugee Program? This program is one of a kind as it combines resettlement with opportunities for higher education. After being sponsored in the fall of 2017, Bishop's student Hasan R. Al-Saedi is currently pursuing an Honours in Biology while being involved both on and off of campus. Read more about his story on our blog!

Bishop's University Library Learning Commons is providing current #Ubishops and Champlain College - Lennoxville students with access to study space. Only seating for individual study will be available at that time. This includes group study rooms, fish bowls and booths/banquettes. No group work or study is allowed. At this time, we ask members of the Lennoxville/Sherbrooke communities and external researchers to not visit the LLC. We are focusing on Bishop’s University and C...hamplain Regional College students, faculty and staff. Because of the curfew requirements, the LLC will close at 7:30PM. This building was originally constructed with a grant from a society in London in 1891. At this time, it didn’t have a verandah and came to be known as The Shed. Its actual name is appropriate given what students originally studied within its walls. Can you guess which building this is? #WhereInBU

BEST OF 2020 Even given the circumstances, this year was outstanding for our Bishop's Gaiters. In January, the Gaiters Women’s Hockey team announced that they would be joining the U SPORTS ranks in the RSEQ University Women’s Hockey Conference. In February, the Gaiters Men's Basketball team won the RSEQ championship, marking #Ubishops's first championship since 2015! In December, Amaiquen Siciliano was named the FAEQ - Fondation de l'athlète d'excellence du Québ...ec Female Athlete of the Year in a Team Sport. Here's to #GaiterNation!

The start of the 2020 academic year has been unlike any other in our collective memory.
