Service Cancelled - November 8th Members who attend All Saints in person or live-streaming and all our guests on Facebook, Our church will not have service either in person or live-streaming tomorrow Sunday Nov. 8th. Due to the weather forecast and the storms moving in Saturday afternoon and Sunday throughout the day we have decided to cancel our service. We want to keep our Parishioners safe. We encourage you to watch live-streaming from other Orthodox churches. Thank... you for your understanding. Our main goal is to keep our members and our priest safe by eliminating any type of travel to the church on Sunday. Due to the rising numbers of COVID in our city and province, our All Saints parish executive has decided to go back to live-streaming only of our services. We did not come to this decision lightly, however, we want to ensure that safety is our number one priority. We will revisit this decision in the new year. Please stay safe!

Orthodox Prayers for Study Prayers of a Student - Christ my Lord, the Giver of light and wisdom, who opened the eyes of the blind man and transformed the fishermen into wise heralds and teachers of the gospel through the coming of the Holy spirit, shine also in my mind the light of the grace of the Holy spirit. Grant me discernment, understanding and wisdom in learning. Enable me to complete my assignments and to abound in every good work, for to You I give honour and glory.... Amen. Prayers Before Study - Most blessed Lord, send the grace of Your Holy spirit on me to strengthen me that I may learn well the subject I am about to study and by it become a better person for Your glory, the comfort of my family and the benefit of Your church and our Nation. Amen. Christ, the true light, who enlightens and sanctifies every person coming into the world, let the light of Your countenance shine upon me (us) that I (we) may see Your unapproachable light; and guide my (our) steps in the way of Your commandments, through the intercessions of Your all-holy Mother and of all the Saints. Amen. Prayer After Study - I thank You, Lord our God, that again on this occasion You have opened my eyes to the light of Your wisdom. You have gladdened my heart with the knowledge of truth. I entreat You, Lord, help me always to do Your will. Bless my soul and body, my words and deeds. Enable me to grow in grace, virtue and good habits, that Your name may be glorified. Father, Son and Holy spirit, now and forever, amen. Prayer Before Studying the Bible - Master who loves us, shine Your eternal light in our hearts that we may better know you. Help us to fully understand Your gospel message. Instill in us respect for Your holy commandments, that by overcoming our worldly desires we might live a spiritual life of thoughts and deeds which pleases You. We ask this of You, O Christ our god, for You are the light of our souls and bodies and You we glorify with Your eternal Father and Your all-holy good and life-giving Spirit now and forever. Amen. Shine within my heart, loving Master, the pure light of Your divine knowledge, and open the eyes of my mind that I may understand Your teachings. Instill in me also reverence for Your blessed commandments, so that having conquered sinful desires I may pursue a spiritual way of life, thinking and doing all those things that are pleasing to You. For You, Christ my God, are my light, and to You I give glory together with Your Father and Your Holy Spirit, now and forever, Amen.

What is a Chram (Feast Day)? Ukrainian Orthodox Church of All Saints, Saskatoon Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven.(Matthew 10:32) Every year we gather on the 1st Sunday after Pentecost to honour the Saints of our Church, who have lived righteous lives in following the teachings and commandments of our Lord. On the Sunday of All Saints we commemorate those who having received the grace of the Holy Spirit liv...ed their lives in complete obedience to the command of our Lord to confess Me before men. The feast day of All Saints shows the examples of all the holy men and women for having received the Holy Spirit, proceeded to live their lives in light of having the Spirit working actively in their lives. The Saints we honour today were not born Saints, but rather were made Saints for allowing the grace and power of the Holy Spirit to guide and transform their lives so that their lives became models of piety and holiness. They understood that receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit called them to live a life of holiness and faithfulness in which the quality of their life gave clear testimony that the Holy Spirit was at work in their lives. It is for these reasons we celebrate the namesake of our church, which is the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of All Saints. We honour this special feast day (or in Ukrainian, Chram, which means Temple) with certain religious and liturgical practices. Our Chram or Feast Day symbolizes the importance of remembering the past, honoring the lives of the Saints and their time on Earth, and their place in Heaven. We honor this feast day as a church family and as a community of Ukrainian Orthodox Christians. This year because of the Covid-19 Pandemic, health regulations stipulate extremely limited numbers in church, as you are aware. Yet, we shall proceed and hold a Divine Liturgy on Sunday June 14, to observe our holy feast day in the name of all of the Saints. Please join us on the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of All Saints, Saskatoon, Livestream (on Facebook), Divine Liturgy Sunday June 14, at 10:00 am

It is with great disappointment the Green Grove Board Executive announces the closure of Green Grove facilities for summer 2020. The criteria within the Provin...ces Re-Open Saskatchewan plan (i.e. approved group sizes, requirement for washrooms, showers, cafeterias and all other public areas such as beaches to remain closed, sleeping accommodations to adhere to social distancing and the level of sanitization required) guides this decision. We will connect, as soon possible, with all confirmed renters to share this decision and to discuss rental deposits. For our youth and potential employees who were looking forward to another fun summer at camp, please stay connected with your friends via social media and we hope to see you all next summer.

: ANASTASIA KALISTCHUK, MOTHER OF HIS EMINENCE, METROPOLITAN YURIJ It is with sadness that we inform the clergy and faithful of the UOCC that on early Sunday morning May 3, 2020, His Eminence Metropolitan Yurijs mother, +Anastasia Kalistchuk, fell asleep in the Lord after a brief illness in her 97th year. Encouraged by the example of the Myrrh Bearing Women, Anastasia loved and supported her son, Metropolian Yurij to assume the path of bishop and Metropolitan of... our Church. May Christ, Our True God, risen from the dead, trampling down death by death, and upon those in the graves bestowing eternal life, comfort and strengthen you, Vladyko Mytropolit, the rest of your mothers family, and all of us your God-loving flock. Funeral arrangements are pending, and more details will be announced as they are available. May her memory be eternal! ! ! Christ is Risen! Indeed He is Risen! See more
