I will be hosting a virtual Japanese-English Conversation Café via Zoom on Monday, March 23rd, from 1:30-3:30! I only have the Zoom Basic plan so we’ll have to run in 40 minute sessions, but the meeting ID works for all the sessions. You can drop in anytime, chat as long as you want, and leave anytime. If people want to stay longer than 3:30 I can just make another meeting and we can do that Thanks for your patience in advance as we figure it out together. Many of the Jap...anese students will need to go home soon, so I wanted to create this chance for everyone to meet again and chat for a little while, and maybe exchange contact information with their friends and say ! It will be really casual since we’re working with fairly limited resources; I will screen share some optional discussion questions but won’t be doing any activities, so you’re free to use the time however you want! Due to the evolving CoVid-19 situation, unfortunately our Japanese-English Conversation Café is suspended until further notice. I hope you will continue to stay in touch with your friends and conversation partners and exchange language over apps such as LINE. It’s my hope that we will be able to have one more Conversation Café before the end of the semester, but if that proves impossible, I’d like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for your participa...tion in this event throughout this semester and academic year. I’ve really appreciated seeing so many people come out every week and participate so enthusiastically in the activities and conversations. Today half the TUINS students visited Coalbanks Elementary School! (The other half visited earlier this week). The Grade 4/5 students enjoyed a presentation about Toyama and each received a special calligraphy piece! Later the students and peer partners had fun playing basketball and badminton in the gym @ Lethbridge, Alberta
