[Case Study] The City of Ottawa Rail Construction Program (RCP) was looking for a way to actively measure and manage traffic congestion along the Light Rail Transit (LRT) construction corridor but recognized the limitations of the traditional method of purchasing or leasing hardware sensors to collect the travel time data. Like most extensive, long-range construction projects along major highways and transportation corridors, building new #LRT lines in Ottawa can be very di...sruptive to traffic patterns over the course of construction. Using UrbanLogiq, the RCP leveraged near-real-time travel time data and were able to speed up construction by optimizing road and lane closures for when the impact on traffic and congestion would be minimal, helping keep the project on time and on budget.
