Hi everyone, This year has been overwhelming and isolating for many with the violence and police brutality in Nigeria being just one of the examples of challenges that are affecting our student community, with the combination of online learning. With all these challenges, we want to provide support for our student community. We are hoping to host individual/group counselling sessions with a counselor, and we would like to get an idea of what type or counselling would benefit ...you. If you are interested in group/individual counselling sessions, please fill out the form here: https://docs.google.com//1FAIpQLSdFpbEd1V3cEBXhWZ/viewform If you have any questions, please send us a DM. Take care of yourselves and stay safe

To our Waterloo community, The Black Community Solidarity Fund is a way that you can support the calls for action that have been expressed by organizers all across North America and the world who have led direct action to the recent violent police murders and systemic racism. The Black Solidarity Community Fund allows you to support local Black-led anti-racist organizations right here in the Waterloo Region, including University of Waterloo African Student Association (UWASA)..., African Community Wellness Initiative, Bring on the Sunshine, Africa celebrations in Waterloo Region. Liking and sharing posts is a part of spreading awareness, however now is a time for action. We all saw the overwhelming support in the KW Solidarity March for Black Lives Matter that happened in Kitchener-Waterloo. Continue to show your support. Keep the conversation going and donate if you can LINK TO DONATE: https://www.gofundme.com/f/b5sv9-black-lives-matter
