#Repost @pt_arsh Incline push ups > Knee push ups When teaching someone how to perform push ups, I always always always teach incline push ups.... WHY? Modified knee push ups don’t help to train the proper push up movement and don’t help to train many of the muscles involved in your full blown push up. Incline push ups on the other hand are way more similar to full push ups in the sense where it promotes core engagement and proper movement patterns. People often think that push ups are all about upper body strength but think of it this way. Have you ever noticed how similar a push up is to a straight arm plank? Therefore, core strength plays a major role. Incline push ups help to train your body to work in the same way that it will need to for a full push up. As you slowly improve, you are able to lower the position of the bar until you’re eventually able to perform them on the floor. Definitely something to keep in mind next time you are programming for your clients or even yourself!

If you have questions please comment below or PM me, I am always happy to help =) *** I recommend downloading an interval timer app onto your phone or tablet so you are not trying to check your watch a...nd you are free to focus on your form. _______________________________________________ Onto the workout - Get Pumped it's time to get sweaty!!! Put on some heart pumping music and Start off with a brisk walk around the block, enjoy a mini dance party, or jog lightly in place until your muscles feel warm and you have a light glisten on your skin (usually between 5-10 minutes). Level 1 do 3 rounds, level 2 do 5 rounds, level 3 do 7 rounds. 20 seconds work / 10 seconds rest/transition 1 - High knees 2 - MOUNTAIN CLIMBERS (can be elevated with hands-on couch or chair - make sure it doesn't move before you start your exercise session) 3 - High knees 4- Plank crunch 5 - Plank hold 6 - Plank crunch 7- Jump Squats or Air Squats 8- Jumping Jacks 9- Jump Squats or Air Squats 2 minute rest then return to exercise #1 and repeat from the top, Take the time to stretch after your workout, pat yourself on the back, and get back to your day knowing that you have done something fabulous for your future self <3. #moveyourbody #healthylifestyle #movedaily #hiittraining #goodlifefitnessvancouver #goodlifefitness #fitfam #strongertogether #CanadianStrong

It’s easy to get disheartened and feel like your months or years of training are now wasted. .... #Repost @you_got_this_coach_jenn Healthy cabbage roll bake - so easy to make, and totally delicious 2lb lean ground meat (we used 1lb extra lean hamburger, and 1lb ground Turkey breast) 1/2 head of cabbage 1 cup cherry tomatoes 1 cup yellow pepper 1 medium onion... 1/2 cup celery 1 cup mushrooms 1 can crushed tomatoes 2 cups GF beef stock 2 cups riced cauliflower 4 cloves crushed garlic lots of Italian Spices Cook the onions, celery and crushed until soft then add the meat and spices, then cook until browned. Combine cooked mixture with remaining veggies and canned tomatoes, place mixture into a baking dish and pour beef stock over entire mixture. Bake at 350 for 1 hour covered. Remove cover, stir and continue to bake for an additional 30 minutes. This recipe is fantastic for leftovers, and freezes well. Enjoy
