Did you know that we host online sitting meditation every day from 5-6 pm? It's very helpful to sit with a group, even virtually. You are welcome to arrive late or leave early, or to sit for the full hour. Please mute your microphone during the meditation period. To join us by Zoom, simply click here and follow the prompts:... https://zoom.us/j/5172791759 Or start the Zoom app on your computer, tablet or smartphone, and join Meeting ID: 517 279 1759 Password: 123456
Wednesday Night Open House has online small group meditation instruction during the Covid restrictions. Please arrive by 6:55 pm so we can create the Zoom breakout room for meditation instruction. Usually groups are small so lots of opportunity for questions. Instructions for Zoom at https://vancouver.shambhala.org/programs/open-house/... If you have already had meditation instruction, it's good to get a refresher occasionally. Meditation instruction is free. But... did you notice that we also take donations, in person and online? Donation information is at https://vancouver.shambhala.org/community/donate/ Once meditation instruction is finished, join the group in the main meditation hall on Zoom for the 7-8 pm sitting meditation by leaving the Breakout room.
Reminder: Open House is online during this most recent tightening of COVID restrictions.
A course exploring the core elements of the Shambhala tradition. In Part 1, we looked at the place of sitting meditation in this tradition. In Part 2, we will investigate, together, the major figures in the Shambhala tradition. The course combines talks by Walker Blaine, with discussions among meditators in the Shambhala tradition throughout the Pacific Northwest. (it is not necessary to have done Part 1 to benefit from Part 2)
NOTE: due to Dr. Bonnie Henry's new short term pandemic restrictions, the Vancouver Shambhala Centre will not hold any in-person programs during the next two weeks. Online programs via Zoom will continue. http://vancouver.shambhala.org

The Vancouver Shambhala Centre will slowly and cautiously begin to reopen on July 1. Some things will change. For the next phase, we require everyone to wear masks as an act of generosity--helping others feel at ease, to wash their hands on arrival, maintain physical distance, and we are limiting the number of people in each room. Full details here: https://vancouver.shambhala.org/community/covid-19/

We now have a more convenient way for people to make donations, small or large, to help support the Vancouver Shambhala Centre. Square takes a small percentage but it's worth it for the convenience, now that the donation box in our physical centre is lonely.
