It’s official! I’m happy to say we can welcome you back into the greenhouse starting Tuesday, February 16th! I just wanted to provide a few details on both our walk-in and online shopping experiences: We will be open 9am 6pm, 7 days a week for walk-in traffic and will have numerous policies and procedures in place to ensure the safety of our staff and customers (the full list will be available on our website). We ask that you do your part as well to follow our store guideli...nes and those set out by Ontario Public Health so we can continue to operate as safely as possible. In-Store Shopping Guidelines: Masks are mandatory for all customers and staff, with no exceptions. If you have a medical exemption, we would be happy to serve you over the phone for curbside pickup. Food and drink will not be permitted in the retail space. Hand sanitizer is provided and encouraged at the entrance to the greenhouse. There will be a capacity limit within the retail space so there may be wait times based on the day, especially as we move into the busier spring season. Online Ordering: Unfortunately, we are unable to continue to offer our full selection of products online. In order to ensure we don’t oversell, two separate inventories have to be managed and we simply don’t have the greenhouse space or staff capacity for it to be possible at this time. The last day to pick up an order is this Sunday and orders can be placed until midnight tonight. We are looking to offer some of our more limited houseplants online in the near future for specific release nights, and plants will be exclusively for delivery through @plantrunz in order to reach some of you that may not be local! Everything that is offered online will still be available in larger quantities through our retail store on a first-come, first-serve basis. Thank you for all of the patience, understanding and support that you have provided us with through the launch of our curbside system, the unexpected complete closure, and the last month of curbside orders. It has been a journey and we appreciate it immensely. We are just as eager to have you back in the greenhouse as you are to be here, so we’ll see you all soon!

Please respect the limit and refrain from placing additional orders as they are in place to ensure as many people as possible get their wishlist plants. Any additional orders over the limit will be cancelled.

The first Christmas trees of the year have arrived Every year we carry 2 different types of trees ranging from 4’ to over 12’ tall, but every single one of them is Canadian grown from two sustainable farms on the east coast. For every tree that is cut, a new one is planted in its place!

They gave their tomorrows so we could have our today. With gratitude, lest we forget.

Thank you to everyone who came out for a very successful Christmas Debut! It was a fantastic and festive night and we hope you all enjoyed But the very biggest of thank yous has to go to all of our staff who worked tirelessly to make this possible and to create the stunning holiday displays that are going to be out for the next couple of months If you didn’t make it out for the event last night, the trees are just as beautiful during the day!

The poinsettias are starting to colour up in the greenhouse! Did you know that poinsettias are incredibly photo-sensitive? The red colouring comes with the drop in light levels as the winter approaches and many growers will use light and darkness to change the flower timing! For example, some of our crops get added light in the evenings to make them think it’s still daylight so they will bloom closer to Christmas. . With Christmas approaching, it’s time to announce our Christmas Debut night on November 6th from 5pm to close! All our Christmas decor will be 20% off for the evening

With the tropical trend booming the way it is, varieties are flying off the shelf and some can be very difficult to get again. Suppliers can only produce so much, and everyone is looking for the next fun thing... What that typically means is that we never really know what we’ll get in and when, or how long it’ll be in stock. It turns into a big scavenger hunt, which is ...half the fun anyways It’s always a bit of a surprise for us, just like you guys, and we’re always excited to get something in that you guys are looking for .
