Say hello to these record-breaking rattie brothers! Now we just need to figure out how we can get some of these foster babies to jump through hoops and everyone will be set!

On September 3rd 2020, the Small Animal Rescue Society of British Columbia rescued over 160 rats with the help of Vancouver Rat Club. They were secured from a location where there was no adequate food, or fresh water available - with males and females left unattended to breed for an unknown amount of months. These animals require additional time and medical care, especially with many pregnant mothers. Our journey is just beginning with these tiny souls as we help mothers set...tle their babies, and prepare the little ones for their forever homes. Though most are healthy, some of these rats suffer from the consequences of long-term neglect, requiring lots of vet visits and TLC. So where are these rats now? They've been placed in foster homes all over B.C. Amazing volunteers from Small Animal Rescue Society and Vancouver Rat Club have been pooling resources together to get our misunderstood and much-loved companions the proper facilities and care they need. A pair of five week old baby girls, they're a little shy but precariously pushing their limits by the day. Hey Rat Club! We have lots of gorgeous black-hooded babies in foster homes, waiting to be adopted in the lower mainland right now. There's transport available to Kelowna scheduled for the 24th of August, with several litters of males and females available. Five girls, and three boys. If you’re interested in adopting, please message us!... Scooter, Dipper and Salter (featured) are three amazing baby boys seeking a permanent home in the Lower Mainland area of BC. These six week old brothers love to pile on your shoulder and chitter, hide, play and involve themselves in everything you do. Completing their two week quarantine from other rats, they are now available for adoption. They're rambunctious and excitable rascals! These brothers will make lovely companions for new and old rat parents. While still a little shy, their personalities get bigger by the day. There's a small rehoming fee that's given straight back to the community to help fund future rat rescues.
