We are looking for people who have food demo experience or have an engaging and passionate personality (preferably towards vegetarian cuisine) throughout the GTA to help sample product to prospective customers AND be able to explain our product offering in an engaging and concise manner. We are simply looking to put together a list of potential people we can call on to help demo products throughout the GTA when needed. Please note that this is NOT a full time nor par...t time position, but rather more like "extra help when needed". This work would only be conducted on weekends and likely is best for passionate students. Duties: Learn about Veggie Paradise products and be able to speak to their qualities Able to engage and attract customers to sample products Able to engage in conversation with customers and convince them to try via purchase Multi-task between talking and preparing samples Requirements: Must have a passionate personality Exude confidence and have a pleasant demeanor Positive attitude Excellent command of English or Chinese (both mandarin/cantonese preferred) Understand the importance/benefits of a vegan and/or gluten-free and/or non-GMO diet Must be organized and able to multitask as demos can get quite hectic and customers cannot be left waiting long Food handler experience is a plus Compensation: Commensurate with experience. Hi everyone, we just launched our Vegan Frozen Comfort Food line of products at select stores in the GTA. Designed for healthy vegans that just want some down-time from constantly figuring out what to make for dinner or a quick snack, just pop in an oven or even a microwave if needed and enjoy! Pick up an entree and give it a shot and let us know what you think of them! If we are not in a store near you, a little nudge to your local store to carry our products never hurts ;)... Happy thanksgiving everyone! Here's a recipe using our vegan ham! Vegan Ham & Pecan Stuffing 6 cups of your favourite rich flavoured bread, cubed and toasted 1 pound of Veggie Paradise Vegan Ham, cubed ... 1 stick of Earth Balance buttery sticks (vegan butter) 2 chopped white onions 1/4 cup chopped green onion (scallions) 4 ribs of chopped celery 3 tablespoons of minced garlic 1/2 cup of chopped parsley 2 teaspoons dried sage 1 teaspoon file gumbo powder (sassafras powder) 1 cup chopped and toasted pecans 1 cup vegetable stock or vegan soup base salt and pepper (to taste) Toast the 6 cups of bread cubes for 10 - 15 minutes in a 325 F oven until golden. In a skillet, sauté all of the vegetables for 10 minutes, until soft with the Earth Balance. Remove vegetables and place in bowl. Then stir fry cubes of Vegan Ham for 10 minutes. In your bowl, combine the ham, vegetables, breadcrumbs and the rest of the listed ingredients EXCEPT for the vegetable stock. Mix the ingredients until well combined. Now add just enough vegetable stock to moisten the bread mixture. You do not want it soaking wet. Place mixture in a baking dish then drizzle the stuffing with a little bit of stock (do not soak). Cover and bake at 325 degrees for 20 to 30 minutes. Uncover and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
